The film maker’s latest project Heeramandi is no different. Right from the time, the series had got announced, all the eyes are set on it, so much so that, this has become one of the most eagerly awaited shows of the recent times.

Today, the makers of Heeramandi dropped the spectacular first song from the series. Titled ‘Azadi’, the track has everything to make it an anthem of sorts. After dropping the said track on social media by Netflix, they captioned the same stating, ‘Yeh jung sirf ishq aur huqumat ki nahi, har haal mein AZADI paane ki hai! #Azadi Song Out Now! Just like any other Bhansali project, Heeramandi bears the quintessential stamp of being a ‘SLB’ project. The said track has been sung by a bunch of singers in the form of Archana Gore, Pragati Joshi, Aditi Prabhudesai, Arohi, Aditi Paul, Tarannum Malik Jain, Dipti Rege. The song, which starts off on a solo note, goes onto culminate into a chorus track. The vibes and the resonance that it offers is totally unparalleled. The said track, eventually starts growing yon you after repeated listening. The lyrics of the track ‘Azadi’ goes as ‘Humein dekhni hai aazaadi, har haal mein humein dekhi hai…’

The said track is not just appealing audio wise, but also visually as well. The said track shows the bunch of leading ladies (Sonakshi Sinha, Manisha Koirala, Sanjeeda Shaikh and many others) forming a group with a burning torch in their hands and seeking ‘freedom’ from the suppressors. All in all, the track ‘Aazadi’ is a track that’s here to stay… forever!

As for Heeramandi, besides Sonakshi Sinha, Manisha Koirala, Sanjeeda Shaikh, it also stars Taha Shah Badussha, Shekhar Suman, Adhyayan Suman and Fardeen Khan. The much-awaited series will be premiering on Netflix on May 1.

Arijit singh fails to recognize mahira khan during concert, watch what he said next

 Arijit Singh was performing at a concert in Dubai where he sang the song Zaalima from Raees. But the singer failed to recognise that actor Mahira Khan - on whom the song was picturised, was sitting right on the front row of the same concert. Moments later, the singer gave a shoutout to her and apologised. The interaction was caught by many fans in the concert and is now going viral on social media. 

What happened during the concert

In the video that has surfaced on social media, Arijit was seen introducing Mahira Khan to the audience. He says, "You guys must be surprised, should I reveal? I should reveal it in a very nice way. Can we have the camera there? I was trying to recognise this person, then remembered I had sung for her. Ladies and gentlemen Mahira Khan is sitting right in front of me. Think about I was singing her song Zaalima and it’s her song and she was singing and standing and I couldn’t recognise her. I am so sorry. Ma'am gratitude and thank you so much.”

Mahira, who stunned in a black outfit, smiled at the sweet gesture and waved at the audience.

Zaalima was a romantic song from the music album of the film Raees, which had Shah Rukh Khan and Maahira. The romantic ballad also had vocals from Harshdeep Kaur.

Arijit Singh most recently sang the song Vida Karo from Imtiaz Ali's Amar Singh Chamkila. The biopic drama revolved around the life of the titular Punjabi singer who was shot dead along with his pregnant wife.

Meanwhile, Mahira Khan tied the knot with Salim Karim in October last year. It was her second marriage. She earlier married Ali Askari in 2007 and separated in 2015. They are parents to a 13-year-old son Azlaan.

She was last seen in Pakistani blockbuster The Legend of Maula Jatt alongside Fawad Khan. The two actors will also be seen in the upcoming Netflix series Jo Bachay Hain Sang Samait Lo.

 Ayan Mukerji managed a crossover only a few imagined. Not on screen, but in real life. He made the teams of his upcoming directorial, War 2, and his last directorial, Brahmastra, meet each other for a casual, intimate dinner in Mumbai on Sunday. 

What happened on Sunday?

First, a video was shared by a paparazzo account on Instagram of Ranbir Kapoor and Jr NTR stepping out of a black SUV. They were twinning in black too. But instead of entering the restaraunt quickly, they looked behind and waited for Ranbir's wife Alia Bhatt to join them. Alia looked lovely in an off-shoulder white top with yellow tropical prints. Following her closely in the other car were filmmakers Karan Johar and Ayan Mukerji.

Soon after, another video shared by the paparazzi account showed lovebirds Hrithik Roshan and Saba Azad entering the same restaurant. While Hrithik wore a striped grey shirt, dark grey pants, and a brown cap, Saba held his hands, sporting a white crop top, pants, and heels.

Later, another video shared by the paparazzi account depicted Ranbir guarding Alia as the two exited the restaurant and made their way to the car. Alia looked momentarily hassled, but Ranbir made sure she reached the car safely.

War 2 x Brahmastra

The stars of Ayan's next directorial War 2 – Hrithik and Jr NTR – are currently filming for the high-octane spy thriller in Mumbai. A few days ago, Jr NTR landed in the city from Chennai, and pictures of him and Hrithik shooting an action sequence also leaked from the sets. War 2 is the next instalment in Aditya Chopra's ambitious YRF Spy Universe, which already doled out hits like the Tiger franchise, Pathaan, and the first War, which released in 2019, was also headlined by Hrithik and was helmed by Siddharth Anand.

Meanwhile, Ayan's last directorial Brahmastra was a supernatural fantasy which starred Ranbir and Alia, and was backed by Karan's Dharma Productions. Sonam kapoor was 'traumatised' after gaining 32 kg weight during pregnancy: 'you are so obsessed with your baby...'

 Sonam Kapoor has once again spoken about her post-pregnancy weight loss journey. On episode 5 of Fashionably Pernia's The Style Icon podcast, the actor spoke about the changes she made after having a baby in terms of her fashion. Sonam gave birth to her first child, son Vayu, in August 2022. She married businessman Anand Ahuja in 2018. 

'Your relationship with yourself changes'

Sonam said, “I gained 32 kilos. Honestly, initially, I was traumatised. You are so obsessed with your baby, you are really not thinking about working out, eating right. It took me a year and a half. I took it really slow, you have to be slow because you have to adjust to the new you.”

Sonam added said that everything in life changes after a pregnancy, including your relationship with yourself and your husband. She said, “Everything in your life changes. Your relationship with yourself changes, with your husband, it changes, everything changes. You are never going to feel the same about your body. I have always accepted myself for who I am, and I was like, I need to accept this version of myself.”

Earlier this year, the actor shared a bunch of pictures from her recent photoshoot and opened up about her self care journey. In the caption, she wrote, "It’s taken me 16 months to feel like myself again. Slowly steadily without any crash diets and crazy workouts just consistent self care and baby care. I’m not there yet but almost where I want to be.. still very very grateful for my body and how incredible it has been."
