Chandu Champion: Kartik Aaryan begins shooting for Kabir Khan's sports drama, check pic from the set

Satyaprem Ki Katha, Kartik Aaryan's most recent release, recently crossed the 100 crore worldwide collection mark, making it the actor's fifth film to achieve this milestone. In addition, he just travelled to London to begin the first schedule of his eagerly anticipated next project with Kabir Khan, Chandu Champion, for which they have just begun filming.

Sharing an adorable photo with his director on social media from the first day of the shoot, Kartik wrote, "शुभारंभ 🙏 

And the most challenging and exciting journey of my career begins... with the captain @Kabirkhan 💪 

#ChanduChampion"

Kartik is seen in the picture pointing at the clapboard for the first take of Chandu Champion, which Kabir is carrying while donning a black t-shirt, navy blue jogging trousers and white sneakers. Kartik is rocking a blue and black check cardigan, black joggers and a white beanie.

Chandu Champion is a sports drama directed by Kabir Khan. It will be a biopic of Murlikant Petkar, the first gold medalist from India in the Paralympics. 

A source told Bollywood Hungama, “Kabir Khan and Sajid Nadiadwala feel that the title is apt for the film as it goes well with the journey of the character. While it’s quirky, it also attempts to create a memory of what Bajrangi Bhaijaan did back in 2005. The director and producer duo are attempting to create a conversation around the film and also push people to discuss the title." 

Vignesh Shivan reacts to Shah Rukh Khan romancing wife Nayanthara in Jawan

 Shah Rukh Khan and Nayanthara will be seen romancing each other on screen for the first time. The two play the leads in Atlee's debut Bollywood film, Jawan. Nayanthara's husband and filmmaker Vignesh Shivan is all praise for the film as well as Atlee and Shah Rukh Khan. He has also mentioned Shah Rukh and Nayanthara's romantic scenes in Jawan in his post for the Pathaan actor and hailed him as the ‘king of romance’.

On Wednesday, Shah Rukh Khan thanked Vignesh for his appreciation of Jawan and also warned him about his wife Nayanthara. He wrote on Twitter, “@VigneshShivN thank you for all the love. #Nayanthara is awesome…but oh who am I telling this…you toh already know!!! But Hubby, beware, she has now learnt some major kicks & punches!!”

Reacting to Shah Rukh's post, Vignesh Shivan wrote, “(laughing emoji) soooo kind of you sir. Yes sir being very careful but I also heard there is some good romance between the both of you in the movie, that she has learnt from the king of romance, so already cherishing that with the happiness of such a dream Debut with YOU #SRK the #KingofHearts #Badshaah #Jawan @Atlee_dir gonna be a massive global #Blockbuster.”

On the day of Jawan Prevue release, Vignesh had taken to his Instagram Stories to share his reaction. He had written, “How can you not be proud of @atlee47 when he comes up with a banger with his Bollywood debut! Looks international! So much efforts, patience and hard work! A big hug, hatss off !”

Making a special mention of Nayanthara, he had added, “Congrats to #Nayanthara lookin (hot face emoji) dream debut with the King @iamsrk for my Thangam & my king @anirudhofficial killin it soooo well here! Kudos to @actorvijaysethupathi sir @redchillies.color @livingstonruben #VishnuDop @kunalraian.”

Jawan Prevue was loved by the audience for its high-octane action sequences, massive cast and loads of drama. Nayanthara was seen in a polished corporate look as well as wielding a gun in the middle of an action scene. There were also glimpses of Vijay Sethupathi, Deepika Padukone, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Girija Oak. The film will release in theatres on September 7.

Kaavaalaa: Tamannaah goes gaga over the AI version of the chartbuster song from Jailer featuring Simran

 The first single from Rajinikanth-starrer Jailer, Kaavaalaa, is a huge hit on social media. Many initially wondered why the team is releasing a song featuring Tamannaah, not the Superstar, but the track's popularity proves the makers were right. People of different age groups are shaking their legs for the peppy track composed by Anirudh and are posting it on their personal pages.

Interestingly, a few AI versions of the song are also doing the rounds. One of the prominent among them was the video featuring Simran. This went viral quickly, and cinephiles expressed astonishment at the technology's growth.

Tamannaah herself was impressed with this version and shared it on her Twitter page. "This is just brilliant," wrote the excited actress and tagged Simran, apart from posting the hashtag #bigfan. Mutual fans of the two actresses had a gala time comparing the presence of them.

However, a few went on to wonder how the technology could pose a threat to the private lives of celebrities. Movie buffs are now waiting to know how Simran is going to respond to the AI video. A similar video of Kaavalaa that has Kajal Aggarwal in place of Tamannaah has also found some fans.

The song is the second trending track of Anirudh in recent times after Naa Ready from Leo. Film buffs are curious to know when team Jailer is coming up with the mandatory intro song of Rajini from the movie amid speculation that Nelson has attempted to showcase the star in a different avatar this time.

Sun Pictures is producing the film which is hitting the screens on August 10. The movie's teaser/trailer is expected to be out in a week's time.

Janhvi did several outfit changes during the promotional activities, and one of the looks featured her in a sequinned floral bodycon midi dress. She shared pictures of her glamorous look on Instagram and garnered several compliments from her fans. Her best friend Orhan Awatramani commented, "Pretty gurrl in her pretty wurllldddd." While Varun chose a comfy all-black tracksuit set for his arrival in the bay, Janhvi slayed airport fashion in a lavender-coloured co-ord ribbed tank top and pants. While the blouse has cropped hem, fitted silhouette, and a plunging neckline, the pants come with a high-rise waist and flared hem.

Aditya Roy Kapur, Ananya Panday fuel dating rumours, share pics from same rock concert in Spain

 Aditya Roy Kapur and Ananya Panday are currently in Spain where they attended a rock concert. Both of them shared individual posts on their respective Instagram handles but it was confirmed the two indeed attended the Arctic Monkeys' concert in Spain. However, none of them shared any glimpse of themselves or each other from the musical night.

Ananya took to her Instagram Stories on Tuesday to share a picture from the concert and wrote, “Nothing quite like the Arctic Monkeys. My favourite song ever." She tagged the location as Madrid, Spain. Aditya Roy Kapur too shared a small video from the concert on his Instagram Stories along with a blue grinning emoji and a monkey emoji.

Later, Ananya shared glimpses of the sealine and the blue sky from Portugal on her Instagram Stories. She simply wrote “magic magic” in the caption.

Aditya and Ananya have been rumoured to be dating ever since they made a joint appearance at Kriti Sanon's Diwali bash last year. They have since been spotted together at other film parties. Reacting to their linkup, Ananya's mom Bhavana Panday told ETimes in April, “The fact is that Ananya is single and link-ups happen in a profession like this. It's okay. It's like that's a part and parcel of an actor's life, and you have to take everything in, good or bad. I feel like they get so much love and adulation, so I'd rather genuinely focus on that than the negativity that comes with it, because the positives definitely outweigh the negative.”

Ananya was recently spotted in the trailer of Karan Johar's upcoming film, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. She was seen alongside Ranveer in a dance number.

Ananya will be next seen in Vikramaditya Motwane's untitled cybercrime-thriller. She also has Farhan Akhtar's Kho Gaye Hum Kahan opposite Siddhant Chaturvedi and Adarsh Gourav. Jawan star Shah Rukh Khan calls Vijay Sethupathi 'Nanba', thanks him for teaching Tamil: 'It was an honour'

 Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has never made secret his admiration for Tamil star Vijay Sethupathi's acting prowess. In the latest tweet, he reiterated his respect for Sethupathi, by describing the opportunity to share the screen space with him as "an honour." 

"Sir an honour to work with you. Thanks for teaching me a bit of Tamil on the sets & the delicious food u got. Love u Nanba!," Shah Rukh Khan tweeted while expressing their appreciation for the cast and crew of Jawan. Nanba is Tamil for a friend. 

This is not the first time SRK has publically heaped high praises for Sethupathi, who has craved a niche for himself with his impeccable performances in movies like Super Deluxe and Vikram Vedha. Recently, Sethupathi became a household name in the North Indian states with his acclaimed performance in Prime Video's hit web series Farzi. Sethupathi played the role of a dynamic cop in the web series created by Raj and DK. Later, he was also seen in Mumbaikar, which was the Hindi remake of the Tamil hit Maanagaram. And many are convinced that his performance in Jawan will take his popularity with the Hindi audience to another level. 

Sethupathi is also a huge fan of SRK. Earlier in an interview , he revealed that he immediately agreed to Jawan because he wanted to share screen space with SRK. "Yes, I do, It is the antagonist's role. I've known Atlee for a long time. But, I've never worked with him until now. When he offered me Jawan I immediately said yes to working with Shah Rukh Khan. He's such a down-to-earth, humble and helpful actor. No attitude at all. Always friendly and helpful," he said.

Written and directed by Atlee, Jawan is due in cinemas on September 7. 

Rashmika Mandanna does Vicky Kaushal's dance steps to Gaddiyan Uchiyan Rakhiyan before their clash in theatres

 Rashmika Mandanna has already made the nation dance to her hit number Saami Saami. She has now danced to Gaddiyan Uchiyan Rakhiyan, weeks after Vicky Kaushal made the Punjabi number famous by dancing to it at an event. Rashmika grooved to the song and even did Vicky's steps in a video she shared during an AMA session on Instagram.

Rashmika conducted an Ask Me Anything session on Instagram on Monday during which she shared the video to answer the question about her favourite song. She was in a cream-white dress and could be seen doing some particular dance steps as performed by Vicky.

Vicky had danced to Obsessed, popularly called Gaddiyan Uchiyan Rakhiyan, during the promotions of his last film Zara Hatke Zara Bachke. The song has been sung by Riar Saab and Abhijay Sharma.

What keeps Rashmika busy in free time

She recently also shared a glimpse of what keeps her occupied during in-between takes. Taking to Instagram stories, Rashmika shared a video of herself playing with lights in-between takes. On the same day, she also posted a couple of mirror selfies and asked her fans, "Trying to get my mirror selfie right. Do you think I'm getting better at it?"

Rashmika's upcoming films

Rashmika has wrapped up the shooting of Animal. Helmed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Animal also stars Ranbir Kapoor, Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor in the lead roles. Interestingly, the film will clash with Vicky Kaushal's Sam Bahadur on December 11. Animal was earlier scheduled to release on August 11 but has now been pushed to December.

Rashmika is currently shooting for her upcoming film Pushpa: The Rule. The actor will reprise the role of Srivalli in the sequel to the blockbuster that stars Allu Arjun in the lead role. The first movie in the franchise was Pushpa: The Rise, directed by Sukumar, which was released in theatres in 2021. She also has Rainbow and VNR Trio in her kitty.
