Naga Chaitanya Launched The Theatrical Trailer Of Superstar Rajinikanth. Jailer Called ShowCase

Superstar Rajinikanth and director Nelson joined hands for the first time for an action entertainer Jailer being produced by Kalanithi Maran under the banner of Sun Pictures. Anirudh Ravichander scored the music and the first two songs became chartbusters. Hero Naga Chaitanya launched the theatrical trailer of the movie called- Jailer ShowCase.

The trailer focuses mainly on showing two distinctive personalities of Rajinikanth as a typical retired family man, and a furious man who spares no one when he gets into action. Although the trailer introduces other main characters like Jackie Shroff, Sunil, Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, etc. it gives emphasis to Rajinikanth’s character who is a father of a police officer.

The dialogues are simple yet impactful. They are envisioned to show the other side of Rajinikanth’s character. “You have only seen him as a father of a policeman. But I’m familiar with his other face that you’re not aware of,” utters Jackie Shroff which designates Rajinikanth’s other shade in the movie.

Vijay Kartik Kannan’s camera work is impeccable, wherein Anirudh Ravichander with his roaring score elevates every sequence that featured Rajinikanth. The movie is edited by R Nirmal.

The superstar’s superb screen presence and dialogue delivery are major attractions. The trailer has definitely taken the expectations on the movie to another level.

The movie has a stellar cast that includes Jackie Shroff, Shiva Rajkumar, Sunil, Ramya Krishnan, Vinayakan, Mirnaa Menon, and Mohanlal in a cameo appearance.

Jailer is slated for release on August 10th. Asian Multiplexes Pvt Ltd is releasing the film’s Telugu version.

Actor Sara Ali Khan recently talked about criticism and said she appreciates feedback when it comes to work. However, she doesn't care if people have any opinion regarding her personal matter-- choice of outfits or religious beliefs. She said she doesn't feel validated by anyone else as she has a strong sense of self.

Sara Ali Khan

Sara Ali Khan is the daughter of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh. She made her debut with Kedarnath alongside Sushant Rajput Singh. Her brother Ibrahim Ali Khan will soon foray into the film industry as well.

Sara Ali Khan on not seeking validation

Talking to Vogue India, Sara recently said, “I learned that my sense of validation should not come from anything external, including the way I look. So I grew up with qualities that were very innate, very inherent, very internal. And because they’re rooted in such a secure place inside me, I’m not fazed by other people’s opinions of me. At my core, I’m still the same girl that went to Columbia to study Russian history. I think having a strong sense of self and not defining myself by what people think of me is the only way to keep going.”

Sara Ali Khan on criticism

“I definitely appreciate any kind of criticism when it comes to my work. I work for the audience and if they don’t like my work, it behoves me to see what I can do better. But if they have an opinion on anything personal, whether it’s my religious beliefs, my sense of dressing or my non-blow-dried hair at the airport, I don’t care,” added Sara who is often questioned by a section of social media for visiting religious places.

Sara was last seen in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani song Heart Throb where she marked a special cameo appearance. Currently, she has several upcoming projects lined up. She is a part of Anurag Basu's Metro In Dino, co-starring Aditya Roy Kapur, Konkona Sen Sharma, Pankaj Tripathi, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Anupam Kher, Ali Fazal and Neena Gupta in lead roles.

20 years of Koi Mil Gaya: The Hrithik Roshan and Preity Zinta starrer to re-release on the big screen

Two decades ago, Koi... Mil Gaya hit the big screens and brought a shining gem to Indian cinema. The Rakesh Roshan directorial has Hrithik Roshan in the lead role, playing the role of Rohit, and the actor won hearts instantly with his performance. He acknowledged the ongoing discussions surrounding the film in digital spaces and pop culture, noting the recreations of character dialogues, references to the alien character Jaadoo during alleged alien sightings, and various internet memes that have kept the film alive in people's minds.

The film, a sci-fi musical, not only introduced India's first superhero film franchise, Krrish but also became the pioneer of a multi-genre story franchise that carries forward characters and storylines from its previous instalments. Rakesh Roshan's bold move to create a unique children's film with science fiction elements has not only stood the test of time but has also inspired a new generation of filmmakers to experiment with different genres and narratives.

As the re-release of Koi Mil Gaya approaches, the anticipation grows for a nostalgic cinematic experience that bridges the gap between generations and celebrates the enduring impact of this beloved film.

From dreamy Mermaidcore to glamorous Barbiecore: Tips and tricks to master these viral fashion trends like a pro

Trends bring a sense of unity and diversity to the design process. They transcend boundaries, bridging cultures, and bringing together various forms of creative expression. Two such influences — Barbiecore and Mermaidcore — have revolutionized the Indian wear market, infusing it with a youthful and vivacious charm. By blending contemporary fashion with the timeless elegance of ethnic wear, women are embracing them to express their individuality and celebrate femininity. On one hand, as the Barbiecore trend's vibrant hues have redefined traditional pink sarees, lehengas, and salwar suits a modern twist with eye-catching shades ranging from bubblegum pink to electric fuchsia, the Mermaidcore trend with its flowing silhouettes and captivating use of sequins, has resulted in a fusion of fantasy and elegance.

Tips to rock Barbiecore and Mermaidcore trends

Raghav Mittal, MD and Creative Director, House of Surya shares with HT Lifestyle some tips and tricks to rock these popular fashion trends with perfection.

1. Embracing Barbiecore: Style advice

Bollywood divas Bhumi Pednekar, Kiara Advani, Kajol and Ananya Pandey slaying the Barbiecore look.
  • To unleash your inner Barbie, set the fashion scene ablaze by experimenting with different fabrics and textures, like pairing a flowy pink lehenga with a sporty champagne-coloured crop top or a traditional pink saree with a contemporary blouse.
  • Barbiecore is adaptable for many different events, including weddings and celebratory gatherings. Choose elaborately embroidered pink lehengas with exquisite mirror work for formal occasions or a more relaxed pink salwar suit or an Anarkali with comical patterns or flowery prints for a day of celebrations.
  • Pro Tip: Be assertive, feisty, and bright! A crucial component of Barbiecore is layering. If you want to add depth and interest to your pink ensemble, think about adding a chic blazer, a shrug or an embellished cloak.

2. Birth of dreamy Indian aesthetics: Mermaidcore

Ocean-inspired and mermaidcore designs by Rahul Mishra (2023); Armani Privé worn by actor Amanda Seyfried (2022); Gaurav Gupta (2023); Versace (2021).
  • The way we view special event clothing has been transformed by Mermaidcore. Delicately- designed sequin gowns in mesmerizing hues of seafoam green, ocean blue, and coral pink have become popular choices for weddings, receptions, and other celebrations. These gowns add an ethereal touch to traditional events, making the wearer feel like a mythical creature gliding through a fairytale.
  • The trend has impacted all Indian attires ranging from sarees to lehengas and even palazzo sets! With their form-fitting tops and flared sequined skirts, mermaid-style lehengas offer a new-age yet classic appeal. The intricate detailing of sequins and subtle tailoring create a captivating bridal ensemble.
  • Sequin embellishments adorn the saree borders and ‘pallus’, capturing the essence of shimmering ocean waves. These sarees are perfect for evening soirées and glamorous events.
  • Anarkalis and palazzo sets have welcomed the mermaid-core trend with innovation. Sequined bodices with flared bottoms emulate the elegance of mermaid tails, offering a unique and charming twist to traditional ethnic wear.

"The market for women's clothing in India has been significantly and enduringly impacted by such trends. Women may now express themselves in a creative and energetic way thanks to their dynamic use of colours and style. Modern Indian fashion is known for its combination of traditional and new-age features, and trends are essential to this delicate dance of cultural interchange," concludes Raghav Mittal.
