Barbie on OTT: Here’s the latest on Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling’s film’s OTT release date

 

Love it or hate it, you simply cannot ignore Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling's latest release, Barbie. The film, directed by Greta Gerwig, released in theatres on July 21, 2023, alongside Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer, sparking off the internet phenomenon Barbenheimer that began circulating on social media before the simultaneous theatrical release of two blockbuster films.

Barbie, which is the first live-action film made about the popular Mattel doll, has raked in over $337 million worldwide, which is said to be double what it was estimated to make.

The film has been praised and slammed in equal measure. This has certainly piqued the interest of moviegoers. And those who haven't watched Barbie in theatres or are looking to watch it again won't have to wait too long.

When and where to watch Barbie
According to reports, Barbie will be released on OTT 50 days after its theatrical release. While there has been no official word yet, Barbie will most likely be released on one of the two streaming giants: Netflix or Amazon Prime Video.

It is said to be available to stream in September 2023.

Barbie on Max
After taking over HBO and HBO Max, Warner Bros., who are the distributors of Barbie, owns Max. So, the movie will have its official release on the Max app. Once this is done, Barbie will be released on other OTT platforms once a deal is signed.

About the film
Barbie Land is a magical place where only the best will do. In this perfect world, Barbie (Margot Robbie), the paragon of perfection in form and function, makes her home. But her beautiful life is shattered when she and her best friend Ken (Ryan Gosling) are banished from Barbie Land for being imperfect.

Barbie experiences an existential crisis, doubting her place in the world and wondering who she really is for the first time. She struggles with the concept of imperfection and the awareness that her world may not be as perfect as it looks.

The film features an impressive ensemble cast that includes Helen Mirren, America Ferrera, Anne Hathaway, Kate McKinnon, Issa Rae, Emma Mackey, Simu Liu, Ncuti Gatwa, Dua Lipa, Michael Cera, and Nicola Coughlan, among others.

Chunky Panday reacts to reports of Ananya Panday dating Aditya Roy Kapur, calls relationship claims 'collateral damage'

 

Ananya Panday's father, actor Chunky Panday has said realtionship rumours are a part and parcel of being an actor. In a recent interview with Bollywood Bubble, Chunky Panday shared his take on reports about Ananya’s relationship status, now that she is rumoured to be dating actor Aditya Roy Kapur. 

Chunky further gave his take on which actor Ananya Panday looks the best with. He also revealed if he has ever rejected any of Ananya's boyfriends and the one condition he has for any man dating her.

Chunky said during a chat with Bollywood Bubble, “Nahi nahi… wo toh hone wala hai (no no, this is bound to happen). They say na you live by the soul, you die by the soul. We are in the glamour profession, ye sab hone wala hai (and all this is bound to happen). This is collateral damage, hone wala hai (will be there). You can’t prevent it."

When asked if she looks good with Aditya Roy Kapur, Chunky answered by mentioning other actors' names and said that right from Tiger Shroff in the beginning (Student of the Year 2) to Kartik Aaryan in Pati, Patni Aur Woh, the actors paired opposite Ananya looked ‘superb’ with her. He concluded by saying that she has 'always complimented her heroes' and it has been a great journey for her. He added that 'she is lucky'.

In the same interview, the actor was asked if he had ever rejected any of Ananya or his younger daughter Rysa Panday's boyfriends. He replied, "I do not need to, they only reject. Maine unko bola jo bhi hoga (I told them), he has to be better than me."

Last month, pictures and videos of Aditya Roy Kapur and rumoured girlfriend Ananya Panday from Portugal went viral. Ananya had accompanied Aditya in Lisbon, and images of them sightseeing and stepping out on a date to a restaurant were shared on paparazzi pages and fan pages.

Aditya had recently opened up about his trip in an interview. When the actor was told that he made headlines for his holiday photos with Ananya, Aditya had said, "It's a good thing I am not so much on social media but definitely, I have heard."

Skanda: Nee Chuttu Chuttu is a superb showcase of Sid Sriram’s range, Ram Pothineni, Sreeleela’s dance moves

Ram Pothineni has always been a director’s delight in terms of his range as a performer - not only can he dance well, but he’s equally adept at emotions, comedy, action and coming up with massy performances. It’s just the cocktail a filmmaker needs, more so for someone like Boyapati Sreenu, who churns out mass vehicles with utmost conviction year after year.

The actor-director duo is teaming up for Skanda, which is releasing worldwide on September 15. Sreeleela plays the female lead in the film whose shoot was completed recently. Srinivasaa Chitturi, who recently backed The Warriorr, Custody, is bankrolling the film under Srinivasaa Silver Screen in collaboration with ZEE Studios. After the first glimpse, a new song Nee Chuttu Chuttu was launched today.

Sid Sriram, Sanjana Kalmanje have sung the party track written by Raghuram and choreographed by Prem Rakshith. S Thaman is composing the music for the album. While one associates Sid Sriram for his feel-good melodies with a classical touch, Thaman explores a different dimension of the singer for the peppy, superbly orchestrated, well-shot number.

‘Nee Chuttu Chuttu Chuttu Tirigina..Naa Chitti Chitti Chitti Gundenadigina.. Naa Dhimma Tirige Bomma Evaridante Ninnu Chooputhondhigaa..,’ the song’s opening lines offer a hint of its lyrical flavour. The effort is to appeal to gen-Z - everything from the jazzy production design to the cinematography and the dance moves of the lead stars work in favour of the song.

The expectations are high from a dance number when Ram and Sreeleela come together and Nee Chuttu Chuttu doesn’t disappoint at all. Santosh Detake cranks the camera for the project while Tammiraju is the editor. Pavan Kumar is presenting the film. The film will be out in five languages - Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.

Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt surprise fans at Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani screening: ‘Picture kaisi lagi?’

On Tuesday, actors Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt paid a surprise visit to a theatre in Mumbai screening their new film Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. They were joined by the film's director Karan Johar as well. A video from the visit shows all three of them in special Rocky Aur Rani sweatshirts, addressing the viewers after the screening.

'Picture kaisi lagi?'

Ranveer and Alia entered the theatre after the end credits started rolling and she asked everyone ‘Picture kaisi lagi (how was the movie)?’. Ranveer gave a man a kiss on his cheek as the audience cheered for the team. Introducing Karan Johar, Ranveer said, “Ladies and gentleman a round of applause for the maker, man of the moment, Karan Johar! Karan aapke chehre dekh ke I'm so happy, so happy, so happy!”

Alia Bhatt said, “We just wanted to come and say hi. Ye surprise visit hai and thank you so much for watching our film and taking out the time.” The actors then clicked selfies and interacted with their fans, who gave rave reviews to the film.

About Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani

Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani follows the love story of the titular couple, played by Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, who belong to contrasting backgrounds and cultures. Also featuring cinema veterans Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi, the film has also been lauded by the critics since its premiere last Friday.

Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani has raised ₹60.22 crore at the domestic box office since its release, the makers said Wednesday. Johar's banner Dharma Productions shared the film's latest collection on its official social media pages. "India ki sabse favourite prem kahaani is reigning victorious at the box office!" the studio posted the update on Twitter.

According to the banner, Rocky Aur Rani added ₹7.30 crore for its fifth day collection, bringing up the total earnings to ₹60.22 crore.

Naga Chaitanya Launched The Theatrical Trailer Of Superstar Rajinikanth. Jailer Called ShowCase

 

Superstar Rajinikanth and director Nelson joined hands for the first time for an action entertainer Jailer being produced by Kalanithi Maran under the banner of Sun Pictures. Anirudh Ravichander scored the music and the first two songs became chartbusters. Hero Naga Chaitanya launched the theatrical trailer of the movie called- Jailer ShowCase.

The trailer focuses mainly on showing two distinctive personalities of Rajinikanth as a typical retired family man, and a furious man who spares no one when he gets into action. Although the trailer introduces other main characters like Jackie Shroff, Sunil, Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, etc. it gives emphasis to Rajinikanth’s character who is a father of a police officer.

The dialogues are simple yet impactful. They are envisioned to show the other side of Rajinikanth’s character. “You have only seen him as a father of a policeman. But I’m familiar with his other face that you’re not aware of,” utters Jackie Shroff which designates Rajinikanth’s other shade in the movie.

Vijay Kartik Kannan’s camera work is impeccable, wherein Anirudh Ravichander with his roaring score elevates every sequence that featured Rajinikanth. The movie is edited by R Nirmal.

The superstar’s superb screen presence and dialogue delivery are major attractions. The trailer has definitely taken the expectations on the movie to another level.

The movie has a stellar cast that includes Jackie Shroff, Shiva Rajkumar, Sunil, Ramya Krishnan, Vinayakan, Mirnaa Menon, and Mohanlal in a cameo appearance.

Jailer is slated for release on August 10th. Asian Multiplexes Pvt Ltd is releasing the film’s Telugu version.

Sara Ali Khan says she doesn't care about criticism on her religious beliefs, choice of outfits: 'Not fazed'

Actor Sara Ali Khan recently talked about criticism and said she appreciates feedback when it comes to work. However, she doesn't care if people have any opinion regarding her personal matter-- choice of outfits or religious beliefs. She said she doesn't feel validated by anyone else as she has a strong sense of self.

At my core, I’m still the same girl that went to Columbia to study Russian history. I think having a strong sense of self and not defining myself by what people think of me is the only way to keep going.”

20 years of Koi Mil Gaya: The Hrithik Roshan and Preity Zinta starrer to re-release on the big screen

 

Two decades ago, Koi... Mil Gaya hit the big screens and brought a shining gem to Indian cinema. The Rakesh Roshan directorial has Hrithik Roshan in the lead role, playing the role of Rohit, and the actor won hearts instantly with his performance. The film broke all the norms of what has conventionally been termed a film with all the ingredients of success and stood the test of time to be relevant for decades to come. On August 8, this year, Koi Mil Gaya will celebrate 20 years since its release, and PVR Inox is set to re-release the film on August 4 across 30 cities.

During an interaction with Pinkvilla, Rakesh Roshan shared his satisfaction at the enduring love the film continues to receive, emphasising how the initial risk of creating a science fiction movie centred around an alien paid off tremendously. He acknowledged the ongoing discussions surrounding the film in digital spaces and pop culture, noting the recreations of character dialogues, references to the alien character Jaadoo during alleged alien sightings, and various internet memes that have kept the film alive in people's minds.
