What would Nayanthara have played in Chennai Express?

According to a report on Pinkvilla, Nayanthara was not offered the role of Meenamma, which was played by Deepika Padukone. Instead, Rohit Shetty hoped that the thalaivi would appear in the dance number 1 2 3 4 Get On The Dance Floor. Eventually, Priyamani ended up being a part of the song.

Interestingly, Jawan stars all SRK, Nayanthara as well as Priyamani. In the Atlee directorial, Priyamani is seen as a part of SRK’s girl gang. This gang also features Sanya Malhotra. Apart from them, Chennai Express’ lead actress Deepika Padukone is also a part of Jawan. She will be seen in a cameo appearance this time around.

Why did Nayanthara reject 1 2 3 4?

Nayanthara rejected the song for two reasons. She was not at the stage where she would want to work in a special number and instead, was looking for well-written roles. Even if she would consider the song, there was reportedly another reason why Nayanthara did not want to be a part of the track. The reason is the choreographer Raju Sundaram, who is Prabhudheva’s brother. It was widely reported that Nayanthara and Prabhudheva were in a relationship and by the time the film happened, they had parted ways. But, luck was on Nayanthara’s side, for 10 years later, she did work with SRK in a film directed by Atlee.

Jawan is slated to release in theatres on September 7. The movie sees SRK in a double role and also features Vijay Sethupathi as one of the leading actors.

It seems like Virat Kohli has opened a new chapter in his cricket career, one that is not always about bat and ball and is not entirely driven by aggression but instead a few laughs with the opposition, a casual shake of the leg while fielding and an abundance of feel-good factor. Virat Kohli is yet to get into Asia Cup with the bat - he was out for 4 against Pakistan and didn't get to bat against Nepal - but that doesn't mean he has been away from the limelight. The cameras can never have enough of Kohli.

The former India captain, who shared light moments with Pakistan crickets with Haris Rauf, Shadab Khan and others before and after India's Asia Cup opener against Pakistan in Pallekele, was seen in a similar mood in their next Group A match against Nepal.

Kohli and India did not get off to an ideal start on Monday. As many as three simple catches - one of them by Kohli himself - inside the first five overs as Nepal got off to a flying start after India opted to bowl. Thanks to some crucial strikes by Ravindra Jadeja (3/40) in the middle overs and Mohammed Siraj's (3/61) might at the end, India were able to pull things back and bowl Nepal out for 230 in 48.2 overs.

Nepal's spirited batting display and India's lacklustre show on the field, however, did not dampen Kohli's spirits. 14 overs into Nepal's innings, the legendary cricketer was seen dancing to Nepali songs, much to the delight of the small crowd, dominated by noisy Nepal fans, at Pallekele.

Kohli's whole-hearted behaviour did not end there. India got a revised target of 145 in 23 overs thanks to a long delay to due heavy rains. Openers Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill came out all guns blazing to ensure a 10-wicket victory for India and smooth sailing into the Super-4 stage of the tournament. After the match, Kohli was seen spending time with the Nepal cricketers inside the dressing room.

In a lovely gesture, Kohli, in fact, signed the shoes of Nepal all-rounder Sompal Kami. The right-handed batter and right-arm seam-bowler shared the photographs of the incident on Tuesday. "Virat Kohli is not just a cricketer, he's an emotion," wrote Sompal, who scored a crucial 48 off 56 balls.

India will head into he Super-4 stage of Asia Cup without playing a full 50-over game. Their tournament opener against Pakistan was washed out after they put on 266 on the board. But the good thing for India was that their batters and bowlers were put under pressure and had a fair bit of workout. In the match against Pakistan, Rohit, Kohli, Gill and Shreyas Iyer fell early. It was Ishan Kishan and Hardik Pandya with the rescue act. In the match against Nepal, their bowlers came back really well despite an attacking start by Nepal.

Come the next stage, they would be hoping for a much-improved show from the likes of Kohli and Iyer. Pacer Jasprit Bumrah, who missed the Napal match due to the birth of his first child, is also expected to join the squad back in time.

What happens next is a face-off between Richa and Pulkit, but who will win this time?

New Fukrey 3 posters were unveiled recently amid countdown to the trailer. Since its inception in 2013, Fukrey has captured the hearts of audiences as one of Hindi cinema's most beloved desi comedy franchises. Ali Fazal, who is now married to Richa Chadha, was also a part of the first two installments but is not part of the new film.

Fukrey 3 had several changes in its release date

Fukrey 3 is directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba and produced under the banner of Excel Entertainment by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar. It will release in theatres on September 28. It was earlier slated to release on September 7. The slot was taken by Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan following which it was pused to December 1. When Prabhas' Salaar, which was scheduled for September 28 release, got postponed, Fukrey 3 acquired the vacant slot.

Fukrey 3 is among Pankaj Tripathi's several sequel projects

Besides Fukrey 3, Pankaj Tripathi mostly has sequels like Stree 2, Mirzapur 3 and Criminal Justice 4 in his kitty after his recent release OMG 2. He told PTI in an interview, "Doing sequels is easy because you know the world and character. However, at the same time it is boring, because you think, ‘How long will this carry forward, like third or fourth part’. But since it’s a success, maybe it is getting made.”

Vijay Deverakonda attended an event in Visakhapatnam on Monday to celebrate the success of his film Kushi. The romantic comedy stars Vijay opposite Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Giving a pleasant surprise to his fans at the event, Vijay said that he will not just be sharing his happiness with his fans, but also his earnings from the film, and went on to announce that he would distribute ₹1 lakh each to 100 families.

What Vijay Deverakonda said

“I am announcing the distribution of one crore rupees to 100 families in order to share my joy with you. Each of the 100 families will receive one lakh rupees. This money is from my personal account,” he told fans from the stage in Telugu and was greeted with loud cheers from the crowd. Earlier this year, he had sent 100 fans on all-expenses-paid trip to Manali.

Film trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan shared a video clip of the actor's announcement on X Monday night.

According to a news portal India Posts English, Vijay said that he wanted to earn good money, make his parents happy and be respected in the society. He said that from now on he has decided to work for his fans who are the reason behind Kushi success despite fake reviews and negative comments against the film. He said some are running a negative campaign against the film but his fans' love overcame everything. He almost turned emotional when he said that he will share his earnings with his fans and promised that the amount will be given to 100 families within a week or ten days.

Kushi had opened at ₹16 crore and now stands at a domestic total of ₹39.25 crore. It is directed by Shiva Nirvana and also stars Sachin Khedekar, Saranya Ponvannan, Murali Sharma, Lakshmi Jayaram and Rohini.

Kushi featuring Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha Ruth Prabhu has started with a bang at the box office. The romantic drama has made Rs 50 crores gross worldwide in just two days. The collections of Kushi on Sunday have also been impressive and the film is already in the profit zone in the US. 

Vijay Deverakonda, along with his family visited the Yadadri temple and took the blessings of the almighty for the massive success of the film which had music by Hesham Abdul Wahab. Even though Kushi opened on a good note, the popular ticketing app, Book My Show showed negative reviews for the film. The rating for the movie was only six out of ten in the first two days.
