Social media reactions to the trailer of The Great Indian Family have arrived! From calling it ‘the most humourous film’ to clapping on Vicky Kaushal and Manushi Chhillar’s on-screen chemistry, netizens are loving every scene shown in the trailer with absolute delight.

For the uninitiated, The Great India Family is an upcoming family comedy film written and directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya and produced by Aditya Chopra under the banner of Yash Raj Films. It is slated to be released on September 22.

Today, just a while ago, the trailer of The Great Indian Family dropped on Yash Raj Films’ official YouTube handle. “Humaari #TheGreatIndianFamily aapki family se milne aa rahi hai 22nd September ko! Milte hain aapke nazdeeki cinemagharon mein!” read the caption of the video which received lakhs of views within the first 10 minutes of its release.

Reacting to it, one YouTube user wrote, “The Great Indian Family is going to be unforgettable.” Another admirer of the movie’s trailer wrote, “Vicky Kaushal never disappoints us with his movies.”

“The Great Indian Family is going to be a masterpiece, no doubt!” wrote one more internet user on YouTube.

More about the movie

The music of the film is composed by Pritam. All the lyrics are written by Amitabh Bhattacharya. The first single titled "Kanhaiya Twitter Pe Aaja" was released on 30 August 2023.

Vicky and Manushi starrer film is supported by a great lineup of actors including Manoj Pahwa, Kumud Mishra, Sadiya Siddiqui, Alka Amin, Srishti Dixit, Bhuvan Arora, Ashutosh Ujjwal and Bharti Perwani.

Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn had announced the release date for their upcoming film, Singham Again. Some days back, Allu Arjun did the same for Pushpa 2 and they were going to clash at the Box Office. It now looks like even though Rohit and Ajay are upset with Allu Arjun for his move, they would not want to clash with Pushpa 2. The two, it looks like, are not too adamant to release Singham Again on Independence Day itself.

Rohit-Ajay want to avoid the clash scenario?

A source told the portal that neither Rohit nor Ajay have the ego to stick to a date which could hamper their own film and thus, they are looking to avoid the clash. They are reportedly upset with Allu Arjun’s decision to come on the same date uninformed. “Of course, they were upset with the decision of Allu Arjun to arrive uninformed at a date already announced by a potential blockbuster like Singham, but then, they don't wish to go the same route as Pushpa team by going in a clash scenario,” the source shared. It is further believed that one phone call from Allu Arjun to Ajay Devgn would have sufficed and not created any issues.

Is the clash happening?

According to the source, Rohit and Ajay have decided to ‘not play dirty games.’ They feel that Pushpa 2 would need a holiday release but since Singham is a bigger franchise, it could release anytime and still make records. Thus, they would probably push the release date for Singham Again in order to pav way for Pushpa 2’s Independence Day release.

So, what’s the update on Singham Again?

Singham Again has not yet gone on floors. Rohit and Ajay are now looking for a new date to release the film. They want to finalize on a date where fans would declare it a National holiday. Rohit further feels that Singham Again would be his biggest outing so far. The movie comes from his cop universe which includes Ranveer Singh’s Simmba and Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi so far.

Fans and celebs couldn’t stop praising the cricketer. One commented on Athiya's post, "Classic knock brother." Another one said, "Nice comeback!" Actor Tiger Shroff commented, “Yayyyy (heart emojis).” Actor Vaani Kapoor dropped a bunch of clapping emojis in the comments section.

A R Rahman wasnt aware of the outside chaos

In an interview  A R Rahman said that it was a tsunami of people and love that they were unable to handle. He added that, as a composer, his job was to give a terrific show, and that he thought everything else would be taken care of. He also clarified that, he was only thinking about it should not rain and was happily performing inside, without having any idea of what was happening outside. He also added that even though their intentions were good, he thought that the response was beyond their expectations. The musician also assured that they were collecting the data (of those who had purchased tickets for the concert) and that they will surprise fans with something soon!

Musician not wanting to point fingers at anyone

He also explained his present state of mind by saying that at the present moment, they were just terribly disturbed and that safety was the primary issue, especially because there were women and kids. A R Rahman added in the interview that, he did not want to point fingers at anyone, but they had to realise that the city was expanding, and the passion to consume music and art was also expanding.

Pushpa 2 The Rule release date: Film lovers are eagerly waiting for Pushpa 2: The Rule movie starring Allu Arjun. On Monday evening, producers of the upcoming Telugu film took to social media to finally reveal the film's release date. The highly-anticipated sequel will release on August 15, 2024.

Mythri Moviemakers, who are producing the movie, made the reveal on X. “Remember this date. Pushpa 2: The Rule will have a grand worldwide release on 15th August 2024. Pushpa Raj is back to rule the box office," they tweeted. Allu Arjun is not visible on the new poster but his hand is seen adorned with rings and bracelets. There are also blood stains on his hand.

In 2021, Pushpa 1: The Rise became a huge blockbuster across India, making Allu Arjun the new pan India star. Last month, he even won the National Film Award for Best Actor. 

Composer Devi Sri Prasad, who also won the National Award for best music direction (songs) for the part one, will be returning for the sequel as well. Arjun's first look from the upcoming film was unveiled earlier this year on the occasion of his 41st birthday.

Produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar of Mythri Movie Makers in association with Sukumar Writings, the film also brings back Rashmika Mandanna as Srivalli and Faasil as Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat.

Actors Dhanunjay, Rao Ramesh, Sunil, Anasuya Bharadwaj and Ajay Ghosh round out the cast.

Recently, Allu Arjun gave fans a peek inside the sets of Pushpa: The Rule as for a special video feature with Instagram. Instagram shared the video last month and wrote in the caption, “Before heading to set, actor @alluarjunonline (Allu Arjun) needs a chillllll morning. Understandably. ‘Fans in India are different from the rest of the world. You have to see it. I can’t explain.’ Enter Ramoji Film City, located in Hyderabad, India. It’s one of the world’s largest film studio complexes and home to Pushpa 2: The Rule, Allu Arjun’s latest action-packed sequel. The studio also serves as a regular hangout for fans eager to meet their hero before shooting. ‘They play a huge part of my motivation,’ says Allu Arjun. ‘It’s their love that makes me push my boundaries, and I want to make them really proud — like, more proud and more proud.’”

Haddi review: Nawazuddin Siddiqui shines in this bone-chilling tale of revenge and redemption

Story:

Haddi takes us on a vengeful journey while exploring Haddi's life, set against the backdrop of contemporary ruin in NCR, Gurgaon, and Noida. Nawazuddin Siddiqui plays Haddi, a transsexual who travels from Allahabad to Delhi to join a transgender gang. He ascends to the top of the criminal food chain to exact revenge on the Anurag Kashyap-portrayed mobster turned politician who mistreated his family. Harika (also played by Nawaz) assumes the identity of Haddi and joins the gang. Haddi then interacts with them in a transgender manner and wins everyone over. They are unaware that Haddi is a mystic who joined the gang for a purpose, nevertheless. 

Review:

Haddi is a brave and delicate subject that is definitely not for the faint hearted. Along with portraying acts of retribution, the narrative elevates violence and brutality. Aside from this, the movie does a great job of tackling sensitive subjects like sexuality, corruption, and identity. The film does a fantastic job of presenting the brutal reality of slums, struggle, and the streets of Delhi. The most crucial aspect is that the movie delivers all of these things while also presenting them with witty dialogue and entertaining elements so that you won't get bored until the very end.

The cast of the movie is excellent, and they all give performances that are flawless in every moment. Nawazuddin Siddiqui proves once more that he is a master at getting beneath the skin of a character by portraying two very different personalities. Nawaz totally transforms his appearance, behavior, and accent to take on these identities. Through his demeanor, he will instill in you rage, sorrow, and arrogance. The film's greatest strength is Nawazuddin's portrayal of Haddi and Harika. 

Anurag Kahsyap gives a standout performance as the bad guy. Every time they come on the screen, Saurabh Sachdeva, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Shridhar Dubey, Vipin Sharma, Ila Arun, Rajesh Kumar, and Saharsh Shukla will steal your heart with their stellar performances. 

Regarding the technical aspects, from the music to the editing and cinematography, everything in the movie works well and helps the audience believe the plot is realistic. The gripping and fast pace of the film will give you no time to get bored and will keep you hooked till the end. The film's climax, which will give you goosebumps and render you baffled, is its standout moment. 

Verdict:

Haddi is not simply another random OTT release; it is a movie that will get you to think, feel, and ask questions. If you enjoy cinema for the gripping the plot, the acting, and the message, then you cannot skip watching this film.
