Kareena Kapoor Khan is currently getting ready for Jaane Jaan, her OTT debut. The Sujoy Ghosh directorial intriguing thriller also stars Vijay Varma and Jaideep Ahlawat in pivotal roles. The Devotion Suspect X, written by Keigo Hagashino, served as the inspiration for the movie. It's scheduled to have its premiere on Netflix on September 21st.

While Kareena is one of the leading actresses in the Hindi film industry, she was recently asked about her Hollywood plans. In conversation with Free Press Journal, when the Jab We Met actress was asked if she has any aspirations to act in Hollywood, she said: "There are no temptations as I am very busy doing stuff here. Also, I am a mother of two, therefore, I have to give them time. They are too young now."

Further talking about her OTT debut, the actress reveals that Sujoy had been working on this movie for ten years, but when he couldn't find the right cast, he put the project on hold. "I am happy that everything has fallen in place," she added. She also said that Sujoy did an excellent job in Kahani, so she always wanted to work with him on a thriller.

In Sujoy Ghosh's film, Kareena portrays a single mother whose life takes an unexpected turn when her long-absent ex-husband unexpectedly arrives. The main story of the film begins when she and her neighbor attempt to hide her husband's murder while the police do their investigation.

We are living in the age of the celebrity beauty brands. Couple of months after actor Kriti Sanon launched her skincare brand Hyphen, Nayanthara took to Instagram to announce she was launching her own skincare company, called 9 Skin. On Thursday, sharing a series of pictures of herself from a photoshoot for the brand, the actor said the products, which will be out on September 29, will use 'clean ingredients' to give people 'healthier, glowing skin'. Soon after, many on Reddit reacted to Nayanthara's announcement.

While some asked why celebrities, who have have lent their faces (and hair and bodies) to countless ad campaigns for beauty brands, need to launch their own skincare brands now, others compared Nayanthara's brand with that of her Jawan co-star Deepika Padukone's skincare brand 82°E, which was launched last year, and was also promoted as an India-inspired ‘self care’ brand.

The actor, who made her social media debut recently, wrote on Instagram, “Today, we are extremely thrilled to reveal six years of relentless effort and love. We've poured our hearts into curating products that are as unique as you are, with formulas that are backed by nature and modern science with nano-technology and designed to elevate your self-care routine. Join us on this self love journey and say hello to healthier, glowing skin!”

She added, “We introduce @9SKINOfficial. The labour of self love you deserve is now brewing to be discovered. Because we believe self love is all we need. The 9SKIN journey begins on the 29th of September, 2023. Prepare for an amazing skincare experience!”

Reactions to her Nayanthara's announcement

"Great job by the marketing team to launch the brand at the right time," wrote a person on Reddit, referring to the box office success of Nayanthara's film Jawan. Ever since it was released last week, the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer has been performing extremely well in India and has also grossed over ₹650 crore worldwide in its opening week.

Another person wrote, "No offence to Nayanthara for launching her brand, but what is wrong with all these celebrities trying to enter the skincare market only. Khud toh botox lelete hai humari twachaa khraab krege huhhh (These celebs all use botox treatments, and want to spoil our skin with their skincare products)." Another one said, "These celebrities trying to enter the skincare market make you appreciate other celebrities, who're simply investing more or opening up businesses that involve things they're passionate about like hobbies, other career choices, dreams etc. Skincare stuff has become saturated now."

One more said, "Every actress is launching a skin care company every day. Isn't this the 3rd or 4th actress launching a skin care brand this year?" A person also wrote, “This (Nayanthara's skincare brand) won’t work cause it looks basic and it’s very similar to Deepika’s brand (which is also not doing well)... Katrina Kaif’s promotion for her beauty brand (Kay Beauty) were hands down the best and even her products are really good.” Katrina Kaif, co-founder of Kay Beauty, had launched the makeup brand in 2019.

Harnaaz accessorised the ensemble with minimal jewels, including a sleek bracelet, a statement ring, and dangling hoop earrings. Lastly, she chose winged eyeliner, kohl-lined eyes, subtle smoky eye shadow, feathered brows, glossy pink lip shade, blushed cheeks, beaming highlighter, mascara on the lashes, and light contouring for the glam picks. Centre-parted open wavy locks gave the finishing touch to her ensemble.

An Action Hero: Tussle with Jaideep

Ayushmann's 2022 film with Anirudh Iyer is a major deviation from his usual filmography. Not only is this a murder thriller, it also offers no outright social message. Nonetheless, the crisp film offers Ayushmann a new range of performances to deliver and he aces it all. To not just feature beside an actor like Jaideep Ahlawat, but also come face-to-face with him, shows his confidence in his own craft.

Fans are upset that an adorable scene featuring Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh was edited out of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. On Thursday, director Karan Johar took to Instagram to share the scene and left fans wanting more. The scene is shot at the Randhawa mansion and shows a sweet moment between the lead couple.

The scene seemingly follows after the wedding of Rocky's friend, where everyone makes fun of Rani's father, played by Tota Roy Chowdhury, dancing on stage. While Rocky makes amends with the Chatterjee family, he still needs to ask for Rani's forgiveness. So, in the edited scene, we see him still dressed in his neon green outfit, climbing up to the window of his room that is now occupied by Rani.

It begins with Rani muttering to herself how she would soon get over Rocky if she tried, but he comes knocking at the window. He even calls herself ‘befkoof (fool)’ as she thinks she heard the knock on the door. But as soon as he enters the room, he falls at her feet to apologise. Rani acts tough for a bit and calls him a monkey for clinging to her leg. But soon gives in to his puppy eyes and confessions of ‘bhayanak (dangerous) love’ for her.

A short clip from this scene was also part of the trailer, but the whole bit was chopped out of the movie to avoid a 3-hour runtime. Karan even said previously that he could not showcase the song Kudmayi like he wanted to and had to fit it in a small box at the end as the credits rolled.

Fans of Alia, Ranveer and Karan are in love with the scene. “This scene should have been shown in the theatre. It really is a wholesome scene. Not sure why the best scenes are cut,” wrote a fan. “This one is too good. Should have definitely not cut this one,” wrote another. “@karanjohar how will we get over this movie! No matter how many clips u post, they’re all good ! This movie could’ve been a season @ranveersingh @aliaabhatt Once moreeee,” wrote another.

Rocky Aur Rani performed well at the box office, earning ₹346 crore worldwide.

A few days ago, there were reports that Sunny Deol has accompanied his father Dharmendra for treatment in the US. Now, Sunny has indirectly put these rumours to rest as he shared a video of himself having fun during his vacation, on social media. Dharmendra also posted a video of himself relaxing on his holiday and playing with a pet dog.

On Tuesday, Sunny took to his Instagram and posted a goofy video of himself along with two pals and wrote, "Pizza Party. Having fun. Just be silly. ENJOY. (red heart emoticons)" Fans reacted to the video and commented with red heart emoticons.

Meanwhile, Dharmendra took to X (formerly called Twitter) and shared a video of him playing with a pet dog. The veteran actor wrote in the caption, “Friends, after long enjoying a small holiday in USA . Will soon be back for my new film. This loving pet is in love with me haha (laughing face emoticon).”

Meanwhile, Sunny Deol's spokesperson had confirmed that the actor had gone to the US for a holiday and not for his father's treatment. Speaking to Indian Express, they said, "Sunny paaji has gone for a family holiday to the US with Dharam ji and his mother. Dharam ji is hale and hearty, and there is nothing to worry. Sunny paaji is a little bugged reading reports about his father’s health because they have gone to enjoy a holiday together.”

Sunny Deol is basking in the success of his recent release Gadar 2. It is the sequel to Gadar, which is directed by Anil Sharma. The film minted ₹40 crore on its opening day in theatres and then went on to break several box office records to enter the ₹500 crore club at the domestic box office. Recently the cast and crew of the film hosted a grand success party of Gadar 2, which was also attended by Dharmendra.

Meanwhile, Dharmendra was last seen in Karan Johar's Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. The film starred Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi. Dharmendra played Ranveer's grandfather in the film.

This Friday, Vicky Kaushal and Manushi Chillar will be seen on hit game show Kaun Banega Crorepati 15. The actors will promote their upcoming film The Great Indian Family on the show. In a new promo for the show, host Amitabh Bachchan is seen cracking up at Vicky's hilarious story from his wedding with
Katrina Kaif. The two married in Rajasthan in December 2021. 

A question for Vicky

During the show, a contestant asks Vicky about his and Katrina's wedding in Jodhpur and the wedding menu. “Sir Vicky ji se ek sawaal hai. Shaadi ka jo menu tha woh kisne decide kia (I have a question for Vicky sir. Who decided the menu for your wedding)?” the contestant asked.

Vicky replied, “Jo nashta tha woh maine decide kia tha kyuki usme chole bhature, aloo ke parathe, ye sab must the. Dinner Katrina ne decide kia. Kyuki waise bhi kisi kaaranwarsh, 8 baje ke baad Punjabiyon ko koi farak nahi padta kya kha rahe hain (I decided the breakfast which included chole bhature and aloo ke parathe. Katrina decided the dinner because for some reason – gesturing holding a drink – Punjabis don't care about what they are eating post 8pm).”

Vicky's reply cracked up the audience and Amitabh Bachchan himself. Fans also left laughing emojis on the post.
