Orhan awatramani dives into 'the relevance room' - ananya panday unveiled as 'orry no 3'

Orhan Awatramani aka Orry, the social media sensation, just released a new video in which he teases a deeper exploration of "The Relevance Room," a topic he initially discussed on the most recent Koffee with Karan episode.

The video was posted on Instagram with the caption, “Introducing, THE ORRYs ! 🙋🏿‍♂️🙎🏻‍♂️🧟‍♀️🙎🏻‍♂️🙎🏻‍♀️👵🏻 #TheRelevanceRoom coming 🔜 on YouTube”. In the video, Orry is seen wearing a t-shirt that says, "Lol, you are not Orry," and he starts by introducing the audience to his "minions."

“I don’t know their names, and I don’t want to know their names. They are just known as,” he remarks, walking through his office as the video transitions to "Orry Nos. 2 and 4." Actor Ananya Panday then appears in the role of "Orry no 3." Orry remarks, "But we killed her for getting too relevant," as a pop-up window displays her profile being removed and, subsequently, her head from their photo is cropped off while Orry is brandishing a knife. As the video comes to an end, he states, "I am Orry no 1. The only one that matters."

With the recently released video, Orry—who is already a social media sensation—adds yet more captivating dimension. The talk of the town was his unique and mysterious presence at every major party and event, and it only became bigger when he recently made an appearance on Karan Johar's Koffee With Karan. An intriguing element of what would happen next is added when he presents his minions and explains how he removed Ananya from his group of minions. With all the humor and suspense he has generated on social media, let's see what 'The Relevance Room' on YouTube has in store for us next.

During his appearance on Koffee with Karan, Orry talked about his "minions" and revealed that they all had to "dress up like me, think like me, and talk like me" in a "relevance room" at the "Orry office."

Orry said, "As of right now, we have Orry 2, 4, 5, and 6," when asked how many minions he had. “There was an Orry 3, but she got more relevant than me, so we killed her off. She’s gone now,” he said. It has now been confirmed that she is Ananya Panday.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya’s fairytale love and tumultuous divorce is one for the books. The Oh! Baby actor has gone through quite a lot in the last few years, especially since she was also diagnosed with myositis. She opened up about her personal growth to her fans on her Instagram broadcast channel, here’s what she had to say.

Getting candid

A fan asked her, “If personal growth had a highlight reel, what would be the ‘blooper’ you laugh about now, and what’s the ‘Oscar-worthy’ moment where you nailed a major life lesson?”

Without taking names, she stated that she did not know her own likes and dislikes because she was ‘constantly influenced’ by a partner. She wrote, “Perhaps the most significant mistake was my failure to understand my own likes and dislikes, as they were constantly influenced by the partner I had during that period.” Since Samantha was married to Chay, many wondered if he was who she was talking about.

She also opened up on the moment personal growth occurred, writing, “On the other hand, my moment of immense personal growth occurred when I recognised that even during the most difficult times, there was a valuable lesson to be learnt,” possibly referencing to her divorce and the diagnosis.

I promised myself that once I felt better I would take a break, I would travel, I would live a little. Because 13 years of not taking a break, running a race that no one knows who’s winning and then also, winning what exactly.” True to her word, Samantha has since spent quality time with her pets Hash and Gelato, travelling to Bhutan, Dubai and other places, and just taking things slow.

Indian police force review - rohit shetty's web series led by sidharth malhotra is the hard case of missing 'main character energy'

Indian Police Force story:

The gripping Indian Police Force chronicles the terrifying ordeal of Delhi Police Officer Kabir Malik (Sidharth Malhotra) as he fights a sinister enemy named Zarar (Mayyank Taandon), who was radicalised at an early age and has decided to become a terrorist. An exciting pursuit sets the stage for this police thriller, which depicts the dogged quest for justice and the ultimate sacrifices officers make while on the job.

Indian Police Force review:

Have you ever felt that your heart is full after watching a cop film by Rohit Shetty? If so, why? Do you think it can be fulfilling to watch a show with dialoguebaazi, action sequences, cars blowing up, and the hero having an entry sequence in every scene for seven episodes? That's what I felt while watching the Indian Police Force—exhausting but not with a give-up attitude.

The series begins with a bomb blast, which returns after every two episodes. If not, the show revolves around the discussion of bomb blasts happening in different parts of the country, with the Indian Mujahideen (IM) as the mastermind. Taking a break from Goa (not really), this time the story is set in Delhi. In the opening episode, a sequence of devastating explosions rocks the city of Delhi, and chaos ensues. The explosions have caused the locals to panic. With the city's tranquilly broken, the heroic officers of the Delhi Police must now face the daunting task of apprehending those responsible.

This results in us getting introduced to the villain of the story, Zaraar (Mayyank Taandon), who lives under the name Haider. Raza (Rituraj Singh) is a "teacher" who influences young minds by radicalising them. He teaches that people in India are the enemies of their religion, so nothing is above that. If you felt that Rohit Shetty's Sooryavanshi was very much against his usual tropes by showing Pakistani villains being in disguise in India as well as one scene where Akshay Kumar as Veer Sooryavanshi taught a "Muslim" how to be an Indian, the Indian Police Force has taken it to another level. This time, the lead character himself is a Muslim, Kabir Malik, and so is the villain, who has been radicalised.

Until the third episode, it remains undisclosed whether Sidharth's character is a Muslim or not. And it so happens that when the terrorist says that this country has done things against their religion, that's when Kabir discloses his identity, which has not been an important topic until then. Then the discussion continues indefinitely, with religion constantly coming into play, and Kabir has to constantly remind the terrorists about their love for the country and the importance of not letting religion impact it in any way.

If Rohit Shetty movies take their sweet time to build up the story in the first half, his debut series gets on it in a jiffy. The audience is aware of the case, the method to crack it, and the inevitable victory of the police. But the process gets a little too exhaustive as the show progresses. The storyline falters, knowing that padding it up to make it into a series is a slightly difficult task, so to speak.

However, if the villain who looks coy has dangerous intentions, he still doesn't come as a stronger part. That's the unfortunate one behind all the blasts, but despite trying to show the humane side, that overpowers even his villainous side. Well, that's not something you would expect from a villain who kills innocent people in the name of religion and who doesn't even stop at once. Mayyank, who plays Zarar, does look like someone who would be naive but has an evil side. However, as the show progresses, the character's intended larger purpose seems to diminish. What's the point in showing the humane side of a terrorist and expecting that he will have remorse for his actions?

Moreover, the series has three lead characters: Sidharth Malhotra as SP Kabir Malik IPS, Vivek Oberoi as Joint CP Vikram Bakshi IPS, and Shilpa Shetty Kundra as Gujarat ATS Chief Tara Shetty. The three have different personalities from each other, both as characters and as professionals.

However, if I had to choose the best out of three, it's hands-down Shilpa for me. The actor was the perfect casting choice as a no-nonsense cop who knows her job. The actor keeps that attitude intact throughout the series, even while indulging in banter with her fellow police officers. However, I expected more from her, especially the hospital action sequence in the sixth episode. Rohit Shetty did make a great choice by introducing her as his first female cop in the Cop Universe. But I wish there were moments for her to shine, especially while packing a punch.

Sidharth did deliver as per his calibre, which we know by now looking at his career trajectory. It's not that he is a bad performer or cannot hold up attention. But there are moments when he is in the frame with heavy dialogue and carries out intense scenes, but the "main character energy" is amiss.

The weakest of the lot is Vivek, mainly because of his brief appearance. The unexpected nature of this event was not like a sad plot twist, but rather something that was unnecessary. Well, it's the filmmaker's perspective for sure, but the series was just building up and went into Game of Thrones mode, which is very unlike of Shetty. No matter what the situation is or how illogical it is, most of the time, the cops in his universe stand still like towering personalities.

The other actors, especially Shweta Tiwari and Sharad Kelkar, do get their moments to shine, and they do serve well as supporting actors.

Coming to Indian Police Force as a show that Shetty helmed with Sushwanth Prakash, it's an attempt that doesn't feel like the blockbuster opening that you expect from his Universe. The series, which is a part of the Cop Universe that has been in celluloid for over a decade, turned out to be the lowest on the list. Yes, the missed opportunity of blending all his usual and bumper elements for a super hit film is not even there.

So what if it's a web series? Why wasn't there any whistleworthy moment over seven episodes, barring possibly one? Even for a movie like Sooryavanshi and Simmba, of which I am not a fan, there are scenes that have recall value, and you might even end up laughing or appreciating them. But Indian Police Force has none, apart from Shilpa's one action sequence. Just one memorable sequence from a web series created by Rohit Shetty—that's unusual, right?

Indian Police Force verdict:

When it comes to the world of police dramas, the Indian Police Force makes an effort to carve out a certain place for itself; nonetheless, it doesn't seem like the roaring patrol car that is synonymous with other cop films by Rohit Shetty. The series fails to reach the heart-pounding crescendo that the Cop Universe is known for.

Koffee with karan: ranking all episodes of season 8 on the authenticity meter

During the finale episode of Koffee with Karan Season 8 today, host Karan Johar explained to the ‘Koffee jury’ when they complained there was no tea this season, that they tried to keep things real this time. Karan argued that since celebrities were too conscious to get candid thanks to social media trolling, the makers decided to take a different approach this time by aiming for authenticity, instead of frivolity or scandal.

So we ranked the episodes of this season from the most real to the most inauthentic:

Kajol and Rani Mukerji

We'd agree with the Koffee jury when they'd say that the episode with Karan's Kuch Kuch Hota Hai leading ladies was the best of this season. And no, not just because it was a lot of unhinged fun, but also it was as real as it could get. Being ‘real’ isn't limited to being reflective or confessional. It also involves giving no hoots to the conventions of the show, and sticking to your vibe. Kajol and Rani's episode had a bit of everything – from discussing their journey from non-friendly cousins and co-stars to friendly companions now, from showing the mirror to Karan more than a few times, and from laughing their way through the Koffee quiz because they don't take competition so seriously anymore.

Sharmila Tagore and Saif Ali Khan

As Tanmay Bhatt said in the finale episode, credit must be given to Saif for being unabashedly candid in front of his mom. But even Sharmila exuded both poise and forthrightness when she discussed everything from her infamous bikini shoot from the 1960s, how she was subsequently cornered to be more conservative, her son's many affairs, failed marriage, and second marriage to a daughter-in-law who is as honest and sorted as they are.

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh

Conspiracy theories about how they neither confirmed, nor denied their split rumours may prevent us from calling the season opener the most real of the lot. But in the moment, it did feel consistently a lot more personal than any of the episodes to follow, even from the host's end as he admitted in the finale. The fact that the audience wasn't prepared for the kind of tone the Koffee gods were going for this season didn't work entirely in favour of this episode.

Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty

Ajay and Rohit are such sons of the soil, they can't be anything but real. Honestly, Karan Johar was the one trying too hard here. Of course, he didn't go all sex talk on them, but whenever he moved beyond the tales of his childhood, he seemed like putting up an act. Like inserting a Kajol insult in every second remark to Ajay. Move on, please.

Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor

There's barely anything that the siblings can mask in front of each other. Whether it's the men they're seeing or the trauma they went through together after the demise of their mother, Sridevi. Also, it brought to the fore how different they are as personalities: Janhvi more cautious, and Khushi more free-spirited.

Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra

One would imagine it would be awkward for these contemporaries to share the Koffee couch years after starting their journey. But they seemed quite at ease, not just by recalling the good ol' days, but also by pulling each other's leg and roasting the host. Sidharth, particularly, seemed far calmer and secure than Varun.

Kareena Kapoor and Alia Bhatt

Again, Tanmay was right in the season finale when he said we could watch the Kareena-Karan banter all year long. She has such an easy vibe with him and is so immensely watchable that even when she's being diplomatic, Karan makes her speak volumes through her expressions. But it was such a bummer to have Alia not own her excellence, even though Kareena was rooting for her to do so all the way.

Sara Ali Khan and Ananya Panday

Both these young actors have grown up watching Koffee with Karan. They can't help but put their best stiletto forward. Ananya's “Aditya Coy Kapur” remark seemed like she's rehearsed it in her head a few times before coming on the show. It was Sara's sorted approach towards “no real friends or enemies in this industry” that made the episode feel less manufactured.

Neetu Kapoor and Zeenat Aman

This might be the most disappointing episode this season because the two yesteryear beauties painted such a rosy picture of their careers and lives, and the Hindi film industry in general, that one couldn't help but wonder whether they're women in denial or just really good actors. Both have had turbulent history with men in their lives, but chose to not go there. Well, we get it, but also we don't.

Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol

Well, can't say that the Deol siblings weren't real. But they were too real to be on Koffee with Karan. You can't just sit there and act like you've been held hostage. Karan had to literally keep stirring in vain to get Sunny and Bobby to be candid, even though they're men of the moment after their massive box office successes and resurgence in 2023.

Arjun Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur

Aditya was his usual charming but unaware self, except when it came to the Koffee quiz. He turned extremely competitive and gave Arjun a tough fight. Speaking of Arjun, with no question of his eloquence, can we please ask him to grow up? Because his childish competitiveness doesn't really sync with his mature thoughts.

Vicky Kaushal and Kiara Advani

We'd rather see the two charismatic actors perform on Bijlee from their 2022 Dharma film Govina Naam Mera for 40 minutes than to have the two unbearably vanilla people dare spill so as to even a drop of sass on the Koffee couch. Not every watchable actor makes for a worthy presence on Koffee with Karan.
