Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal was the most loved theatrical release on OTT for the longest time. However, things changed this week. Not just Animal, even Prabhas’ Salaar is no longer on the list unveiled by Ormax Media for the week of March 8-14. Apart from Animal, Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki is still on the list.

Where does Animal rank?

Animal’s ranking has dropped to the second this week. The Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial is considered iconic by few and thus, the movie went viral on social media. From Bobby Deol’s entry to his fight with Ranbir Kapoor and Ranbir’s scene ranging from a fake love story with Tripti Dimri to family life with Rashmika Mandanna and Anil Kapoor, the film went viral soon after its release.

Which is the most loved?

Hanu-Man, streaming on Jio Cinema, is the most loved theatrical release on OTT this week. The film has managed to throw Salaar out of the top three list. Prabhas’ film was on the list for the longest time and ranked second till last week but this week, the film was nowhere on the list.

Dunki still on the list

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki was still on the list. It still ranks at the third spot. The Rajkumar Hirani directorial also starred Vicky Kaushal and Taapsee Pannu in pivotal roles. Dunki is streaming on Netflix and even on the OTT platform, it is among the top 10 list.

Fans were in for a surprise as singer Ed Sheeran sang in Punjabi for the first time ever during his concert in Mumbai on Saturday. He was joined by singer Diljit Dosanjh, and they performed his song Lover. The duo received roaring applause from hundreds of fans present at the Mahalaxmi Race Course Grounds. Both of them later shared posts on Instagram.

Diljit, on his Instagram, shared a brief clip as he sang with Ed. For the show, Diljit wore a black and golden outfit with a red turban. Ed was seen in a black T-shirt and denims. He also played the guitar. The words on the video read, "Ed Sheeran singing Panjbai for the first time."

He captioned the post, "@teddysphotos Brother Singing in PANJABI for the First Time BURRAAAA (love-you gesture emoji) Chak deya Ge (smiling face with sunglasses emoji)." Reacting to the post, Badshah wrote, "Bro got Ed Paaji as guitarist." Varun Dhawan said, "Global domination." Harshdeep Kaur commented, "World Domination!!!! With pure love and music!! Dil-Jeet liya (Won my heart)."

Ed talks about Mumbai performance

Ed also posted a video of their performance. As it ended, the duo hugged each other as the fans cheered for them. He captioned the post, “Got to bring out @diljitdosanjh tonight in Mumbai and sing in Punjabi for the first time. I’ve had such an incredible time in India, more to come !”

Huma Qureshi posted raised hands, black heart and fire emojis. Sukriti Kakar said, reacting to the video, "Best night of Mumbai." Munawar Faruqui wrote, "Whaaaatttt, not crying! Not crying." Karan Tacker's comment read, "This came in as such a banger of a surprise."

Ed's concert was part of the singer's Asia and Europe Tour. Among several other celebs who attended his show were Madhuri Dixit, Farah Khan, and Shahid Kapoor's wife Mira Rajput, among others. Taking to her Instagram Stories, Mira posted several clips as her daughter Misha danced as Ed performed on the stage. He sang several of his hit songs. Farah shared a video on Instagram and wrote, "It's on!! @teddysphotos concert!"

Reportedly, Ananya Panday and Aditya Roy Kapur did a photoshoot together. The paparazzi clicked them as they stepped out of the shoot venue. Ananya chose a pastel lilac dress for the occasion. It features a drop shoulder neckline with a broad strap and a twisted one on the other side. The gathered design, figure-hugging silhouette, and a mini hem length added a stylish touch to the outfit. Ananya wore the ensemble with minimal accessories, including tan-coloured flat sandals and a statement gemstone-adorned ring.

Meanwhile, Ananya kept the glam minimal with the mini dress. She chose subtle pink eye shadow, rouge on the cheekbones, darkened brows, mascara on the lashes, kohl-adorned waterline, beaming highlighter, and rose pink lip shade for the makeup picks. Lastly, centre-parted loose silky straight locks gave the outfit a finishing touch.

As for Aditya Roy Kapur, the actor looked dapper in a white crewneck top featuring a relaxed fitting. He wore it with white straight-leg fitted pants that come with a mid-rise waistline. Lastly, a pastel lilac shirt with a collared neckline, an open front, full-length sleeves with folded cuffs, and front pockets completed his look for the photoshoot. White sneakers, trimmed beard, and backswept hairdo rounded it all off.

In the pictures and video shared by Gauri Khan on her Instagram account, she is seen posing with Ed Sheeran in the first picture. While she looks beautiful in a blue outfit, we spot Ed wearing a jacket by Aryan Khan's label, D'Yavol X. She also shared a video of the singer performing his hit song, Thinking Out Loud. In the pictures she shared, we can also see Farah Khan and entrepreneur Tanaaz Bhatia.

Earlier, Ed Sheeran shared a video with Shah Rukh Khan where he was seen learning the superstar's iconic open-arm pose while Farah Khan directed them. In the video, we can see SRK teaching him his pose while giving him a peck on his head at the end. Sharing the video, Ed wrote: "This is the Shape of Us. Spreading love together…."

The English singer was also spotted spending time with school kids in Dharavi when he arrived in India. He shared the video on Instagram and wrote: "Visited a school in Mumbai this morning and swapped performances with the kids, so much fun. Great being back in India too !"

He is all set to perform at Mumbai's Mahalaxmi Race Course Grounds on March 16. This will be Ed Sheeran's second concert in India after 2017.

Ed shared a video of him and Shah Rukh set to the song Deewangi Deewangi from the 2007 film Om Shanti Om. He wrote, “This is the Shape of Us. Spreading love together….” In the video, Ed and Shah Rukh can be seen recreating the latter’s signature post, all smiles, with their shenanigans ending in a hug and a kiss.

Farah Khan, who directed Om Shanti Om, was one happy woman as she commented under the video, “If this was the last thing I directed i ll die happy.” Fans were also thrilled to see Ed and Shah Rukh together with one of them writing, “Alexa, play “Perfect” real quick.” Another fan thought no one could do it better than Shah Rukh, writing, “No one can do it better than the man himself.”

Ed meets Bollywood celebs

Ed recently also attended a party where he bumped into singer Armaan Malik. Armaan shared a video on Instagram that showed him teaching Ed some dance moves. In the video, he can be seen teaching Ed the steps to Butta Bomma from the 2020 film Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. Pooja Hegde reacted to the video, leaving heart, heart eyes and clap emojis.

Ayushmann Khurrana met Ed on Tuesday and gifted him his mom’s homemade pinnis. Talking about meeting Ed, he said, “I have admired Ed Sheeran as an artiste for years now. Actor Alia Bhatt has been a part of numerous successful films, so it’s only natural that many are curious about how she chooses films. Talking at the Forbes 30/50 Summit with Huma Abedin, the actor got candid about what makes her tick, the advice she received from SS Rajamouli and more. 

Rajamouli’s advice

Alia debuted in Tollywood with the 2022 film RRR which saw her paired opposite Ram Charan. Talking at the summit, Alia said that she asked director Rajamouli’s advice on choosing films and here’s what he said. She said, “I asked SS Rajamouli what kind of films I should choose because I’m always torn. He said, whatever you choose, just do it with love. Because even if the film is not good, the audience will see love in your eyes for what you do and they will connect with that. Because, there is nothing greater than love in this world.”

The luck factor

Alia also got candid that if she has chosen versatile roles so far, it also has to partly do with luck, because she claims that early on in her career, she was only choosing from what came her way. She said, “I’ve also been very lucky. I’m not just blaming everything on luck, but it is a massive factor. Initially, I remember, I was choosing what was coming to me. They (the films) just happened to be different to one another. But genuinely, if I want to pinpoint it, I really believe what you give is what you get. I have short attention span and I get bored easily. I need to mix it up and keep myself entertained.”

Upcoming work

Alia debuted in Hollywood in 2023 with Heart of Stone starring Gal Gadot. She also starred in Karan Johar’s directorial, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani with Ranveer Singh. She will soon be seen in Jigra, directed by Vasan Bala, produced by her, also starring Vedang Raina and Aditya Nanda. This is her second film as a producer, the first one was the 2022 Netflix film Darlings. She has also said yes to star in Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zaraa with Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Katrina Kaif.

Murder mubarak song bhola bhala baby - here's a sneak peek into celebration turned deadly, setting tone for mystery thriller

Just a few days ahead of the release of Murder Mubarak, the makers have dropped the new song from the film. Following the heartbreaking track Yaad Aave, the new jazz-style track, Bhola Bhala Baby, features all of the film's lead cast. Interestingly, the video gives a glimpse into the celebration before a murder takes place in that elite club.

In the song, we see a woman singing in style, and the whole cast is just fighting with each other in slow motion. During the celebration, everyone exudes a very sour attitude while dressed in their best ethnic attire. They all just want to rip each other's heads off, and the video seems to get funnier as everything is happening against the backdrop of a jazz track.

A non-conventional police officer focuses on several potential suspects during a murder investigation. As an outsider, he enters their world and discovers there's more going on than what he first thought.

During a recent interaction with Film Companion, Sara spoke about being a part of Murder Mubarak. The actor said that it was an incredible privilege, in her opinion. Working with Homi and the rest of the ensemble was incredible, and she learned a lot about herself in the process. It seems to her that this movie appeared at a pivotal juncture in her life, when unlearning had to take centre stage.

Homi Adajania has directed the film, while Dinesh Vijan produced it under his home banner, Maddock Films. On March 15, 2024, the movie will be available on Netflix.
