Kangana will contest from Mandi for Lok Sabha polls

Recently, the BJP declared her as the Lok Sabha candidate from her Mandi in Himachal Pradesh. Sharing her excitement, Kangana took to Instagram stories and penned a note, which read, "My beloved Bharat and Bhartiya Janta's own party, Bharatiya Janata party (BJP) has always had my unconditional support, today the national leadership of BJP has announced me as their Lok Sabha candidate from my birth place Himachal Pradesh, Mandi (constituency) I abide by the high command's decision on contesting Lok Sabha polls."

She had also said, "I feel honoured and elated to officially join the party. I look forward to be a worthy karyakarta and a reliable public servant. Thanks." Polling for Lok Sabha elections will be conducted in seven phases, from April 19 to June 1. The counting of votes will be taken up on June 4.

BJP has also fielded veteran actor Arun Govil, who played the character of Lord Ram in Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan from Uttar Pradesh's Meerut.

Kangana's upcoming films

Kangana will be next seen in the upcoming period drama film Emergency, which also marks her first solo directorial. The film will release on June 14. In the film, Kangana will play the titular role of the late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Emergency also features Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhary, Milind Soman, Shreyas Talpade, Vishak Nair and the late Satish Kaushik in pivotal roles.

She will reunite with actor R Madhavan for an upcoming psychological thriller film. The film will be helmed by director Vijay. The fill will release in Hindi and Tamil.

The first single from the upcoming multi-lingual film Game Changer, Jaragandi, was released by the makers on social media on Wednesday to celebrate the film's lead actor, Ram Charan's birthday. Directed by ace filmmaker Shankar, Game Changer is a Tamil-Telugu bilingual film and is one of the most expected films from the south.

The lyrical video of Jaragandi, the first single from the upcoming Ram Charan-starrer Game Changer, is out. The film has Kiara Advani play the female lead, marking her second collaboration with Ram Charan after Vinaya Vidheya Rama.

Jaragandi has Shankar’s stamp all over it. Shot in elaborate and colourful sets, the song has Kiara and Ram Charan shaking a leg to the score composed by S Thaman. The foot-tapping number Jaragandi is voiced by singers Daler Mehndi and Sunidhi Chauhan, with Anantha Sriram penning the lyrics. The video shows behind-the-scenes with Prabhudheva choreographing the song. Ram Charan and Kiara Advani are shown dancing in colourfully built sets with multiple background dancers.

Game Changer cast and more

Backed by Dil Raju and Shirish, Game Changer is directed by Shankar who is known for his larger-than-life films like Indian, Endhiran, and Jeans to name a few. Game Changer will mark the filmmaker’s first collaboration with Ram Charan. Besides him, the film will also star a host of known faces, including actors Kiara Advani, Anjali, Samuthirakani, SJ Suryah, Srikanth, Sunil, and Naveen Chandra, among others.

With the story penned by filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj, Game Changer is written by SU Venkatesan, Farhad Samji, and Vivek. Cinematographer S Thirunavukkarasu has shot the film and Sai Madhav Burra has written the dialogues. A release date for the film is yet to be announced. However, with the promotions being commenced, the makers are expected to reveal the release date soon. Recently, Prime Video announced that it has bagged the post-theatrical rights of Game Changer. The film is made on a high budget and the production is underway.
