Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana is eagerly-awaited. So far, details about the protagonists have been kept under wraps. However, recently Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi's first look as Lord Ram and Goddess Sita, respectively, was revealed in leaked photos, obtained exclusively by ZoomTV.

Photos of Ranbir dressed in traditional attire as Ayodhya's crown prince, Lord Ram, and Sai in the princess look as Sita were leaked from Ramayana sets on Saturday. ZoomTV took to their social media handles and posted the glimpses of Ranbir and Sai Pallavi from the sets of the historical epic. The actors are paired opposite each other for the first time.

It has been reported by various entertainment portals that Ranbir is following a strict vegetarian diet and workout routine for essaying the role of Lord Ram. Ranbir was last seen in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal, co-starring Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Tripti Dimri, Saurabh Sachdeva, Shakti Kapoor and others.

Recent leaked pics from Ramayan set

A few days ago, leaked photos from Ramayana set made news. Arun Govil was seen dressed as King Dashrath, while Lara Dutta was in the getup of Kaikeyi. There have also been reports about Bobby Deol, Vijay Sethupathi and Sunny Deol essaying Kumbhkaran, Vibhishana and Lord Hanuman, respectively. Although an official confirmation about the same is still awaited.

About Ramayana

For the unversed, Ramayana is based on sage Valmiki's epic of the same name. Prior to Nitesh, Om Raut had also attempted a cinematic adaptation, titled Adipurush (2023), which failed to resonate with the audiences. Apart from its lukewarm box office response, the movie was trolled for its bad VFX and distorting ancient characters. The movie featured Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, Saif Ali Khan in lead roles.

A few pictures from the shoot show Aditi looking as regal as ever, dressed in two gorgeous lehengas fit for a newlywed bride to wear to a spring or summer wedding. The pictures from the magazine photoshoot show Aditi Rao Hydari dressed in red and white heavily embroidered lehengas. Aditi's traditional yet modern ensembles are from the shelves of the clothing label Mishru. Celebrity stylist Ayesha Amin Nigam styled Aditi in the two ensembles, and Elton J Fernandez did her hair and makeup. The first look Aditi donned for the photoshoot shows her in a red lehenga featuring a bralette, lehenga skirt, and a dupatta.

The bralette features red flower applique embroidered straps, similar floral embellishments done across the bust, a cropped hem length, sequinned embellishments, a fitted design, and a square neckline. She styled the blouse with a matching lehenga featuring heavy floral work done on a sheer overlay.

Lastly, a flower-embroidered chiffon dupatta, a golden nath, ornate bangles, a dainty bindi, centre-parted long locks styled in soft curls, muted smoky eyes, feathered brows, berry lips, winged eyeliner, mascara-adorned lashes, and beaming highlighter rounded off the styling.

Aditi's second look features the actor dressed in an ivory lehenga set. It has a corset blouse featuring flower embellishments, structured boning, a plunging neckline, an asymmetric hem, and a backless design. She teamed the choli with a matching voluminous lehenga featuring floral applique work done on a sheer overlay, an A-line layered ghera, and sequin work.

Meanwhile, Aditi accessorised the ensemble with a statement ring and an ornate choker necklace adorned with shimmering gems. Lastly, she chose rouge on the cheekbones, darkened brows, shimmery eye shadow, pink lip shade, mascara on the lashes, and beaming highlighter for the glam picks. A centre-parted messy ponytail styled in soft curls and a few loose strands sculpting her face completed the look.

The upcoming episode of the talent show Dance Deewane will hit peak '90s nostalgia. Karisma Kapoor will serve as the guest judge, joining her Rakshak co-star Suniel Shetty and Dil To Pagal Hai co-star Madhuri Dixit on the show. Madhuri and Suniel serve as the judges on Dance Deewane. 

Madhuri, Karisma recreate Dance of Envy

‘90s kids have a reason to rejoice. A promo for the upcoming Dance Deewane episode shows Madhuri and Karisma recreate their iconic face-off Dance of Envy, composed by Uttam Singh, from Yash Chopra’s 1997 blockbuster romantic musical Dil To Pagal Hai. In the film, both actors were cast opposite Shah Rukh Khan and they engaged in an impromptu dance face-off as part of their one upmanship.

While they were dressed in black athleisure for Dance of Envy in the film, on the show, Karisma and Madhuri chose black and yellow ethnic outfits respectively. They put on an energetic face-off as the live audience cheered on. Suniel Shetty gave them a standing ovation and hailed them as “the greatest dancing stars of our industry.” Host Bharti Singh also showered praises on the two actors.

The internet couldn't control its excitement either. An Instagram user wrote in the comments section, “My all time favourite dance (heart eyes emoji).” Another commented, “Seems like it was yesterday (red heart emojis) they still young omg (red heart and fire emojis).” “The reunion we didn't know we needed,” posted a third one.

Karisma's role in Dil To Pagal Hai

Interestingly, a lot of leading ladies were approached to play Karisma's role of Nisha in Dil To Pagal Hai, but they didn't want to play the supporting role in a Yash Chopra romance led by Shah Rukh and Madhuri. Moreover, they didn't want to square off against Madhuri in the dance-off. After Kajol, Juhi Chawla, Urmila Matondkar, Manisha Koirala, and Raveena Tandon declined the part, Karisma eventually went for it and even won a National Award for her performance.

Karisma will be next seen in her debut show, Brown. Meanwhile, Madhuri is rumoured to play a ghost alongside Vidya Balan's Manjulika in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.
