The pre-release event was held in Hyderabad, and none other than Rashmika Mandanna, the star heroine, graced the event and made it a grand success. More than the film, Rashmika and Vijay Deverakonda's pairing was discussed at the event. The makers held a fun interactive session, and Anand asked Rashmika who her favorite star was.

As the crowds shouted Vijay Deverakonda's name, Rashima blushed non-stop and told Anad that he was like family and should not put her in a spot. Rashmika did not hesitate to take Vijay's name to the loudest cheers. All this clearly showed that Rashmika and Vijay are in deep love and will surely announce the same in the days to come as well.

Right through the event, the fans were shouting Vijay Deverakonda's name, and Rashmika did not mind it one bit. Speaking at the event, Rashmika said that Anand is like her brother, and she wants to see a smile on his face, and that will happen only when Gam Gam Ganesha turns out to be a big hit.

Looks like Rashmika already watched the film as she spoke in detail about every actor in Gam Gam Ganesha. The film is a crime comedy and also has Pragati Srivastava and comedian Emmanuel in key roles.

Rashmika looked radiant as ever and stole the limelight at the event, which has become a talking point all over social media now. Suhana Khan has shared a new picture featuring her family members after Knight Riders clinched a major victory against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the final match of the Indian Premier League 2024. Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, Suhana posted several other pictures from the match day.

In the first photo, Suhana held her brother AbRam Khan's hand as they walked on the field at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. The picture, clicked on Sunday, also featured Shah Rukh Khan gesturing at the audience post KKR's win. Gauri Khan walked next to AbRam while Aryan Khan stood in front of his mother.

Suhana shares post saying ‘worth the wait’

One of the photos also featured Suhana and AbRam with Ananya Panday and Shanaya Kapoor. Suhana also posted a photo of the IPL trophy as well that of fireworks lighting up the Chennai sky. Sharing the pictures, Suhana captioned the post, "Worth the wait (purple heart and trophy emojis)." Reacting to the post, Ananya wrote, "Best ever."

Earlier, Ananya shared a post on Instagram in which she, Suhana and Shanaya Kapoor celebrated the joyous occasion by posing with the IPL trophy at a party. She shared a picture on Monday from what appeared to be an after-party of the Kolkata Knight Riders. In the photo, the trio could be seen posing happily with the trophy as they faced the camera.

Shanaya wore a black dress, while Ananya and Suhana chose orange and blue outfits respectively. Ananya captioned the post, "We won". Reacting to the picture, Suhana dropped purple hearts. KKR's third title celebrations began at the same ground Chepauk where they lifted their title in 2012 under the leadership of Gautam Gambhir. They scripted an encore to lift their third trophy.

Janhvi Kapoor is touring India to promote her upcoming film, Mr and Mrs Mahi. Accompanying her is Sridevi’s niece and yesteryear actor Maheshwari. Janhvi’s latest set of pictures on Instagram garnered attention not just for the places she visited but also because fans recognised the actor accompanying her.

Janhvi is back in Mumbai but early on Monday she shared pictures taken at a temple with Maheshwari. Dressed in a floral langa voni, Janhvi is all smiles as she poses for a picture with her cousin. She wrote, “Visited Muppathamman temple for the first time, mummas most favourite place to visit in Chennai.”

Varun Dhawan commented under the pic, “Masi whose actually your sister,” referring to how Janhvi calls Maheshwari her aunt due to the age gap between them. A fan who also recognised Maheswari but seemed to not recollect her name wrote, “I remember this lady as Sridevi’s bribed niece. I believe her name is Shadeswari not sure if spelled correctly.” Another wrote, “That’s actress Maheshwari, they’re cousins.”

Maheswari has also been sharing reels of Janhvi promoting Mr and Mrs Mahi at Varanasi and Delhi. She captioned one of the reels, “The insane..infectious energy and vibe!!!the love and adulation!!!! overwhelming!!! A proud moment Jaanu Raja and it's just the beginning!!!!” Actor Vishnupriya Bhimeneni commented, “Ur such an angel Jahnavi is so lucky to have u.”

Maheswari was popular in Telugu and Tamil films between 1994-2000. She acted with actors like Jagapathi Babu, JD Chakravarthy, Ravi Teja, Ajith Kumar, Vikram, Prabhu, Arjun Sarja, Prabhu Deva, and Shiva Rajkumar. She rose to fame with the 1995 film Gulabi, later acting in Ram Gopal Varma’s 1996 horror film Deyyam. Her last film was 2000’s Tirumala Tirupati Venkatesa. Karan johar announces dhadak 2 with siddhant chaturvedi and triptii dimri, over a year after denying making film

 Filmmaker Karan Johar has announced his new film, Dhadak 2, starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri. The announcement comes over a year after Karan denied that his production company, Dharma Productions, is making Dhadak 2.

Siddhant and Triptii will star in Dhadak 2

Taking to Instagram on Monday, Karan posted a motion poster featuring Siddhant and Triptii Dimri. The film, which is directed by Shazia Iqbal, will release in theatres on November 22, 2024. In the post, Siddhant and Triptii's characters are seen holding each other.

Siddhant says in a voiceover, "Jo sapna tum dekh rahi ho Vidhi usme mere liye koi jagah nahi hai (The dream that you have Vidhi, there is no place for me in it)." Triptii replies, “Toh phir yeh bhi bata do Neelesh ki in feelings ka kya karun (Then let me know Neelesh, what should I do with my feelings)?”

Karan, Siddhant share posts

Sharing the post, Karan wrote in Hindi, “Yeh kahani hai thodi alag kyuki ek tha raja, ek thi raani, jaat alag thi, khatam kahani (This story is a little different because there was a king, there was a queen - their castes were different… end of story). Last year Karan denied making Dhadak 2

Last year, after reports emerged of Karan making Dhadak 2 with Siddhant and Triptii, he had denied reports. Taking to Instagram Stories, he wrote, “To put this on the record and for all concerned, we (Dharma Productions) are NOT making a film with the title DHADAK 2 as is being reported in various articles...”

Before that, Pinkvilla reported, quoting its source, “Dhadak was essentially an intense tale of love, with two protagonists fighting the society to live together. The filmmaker believes that this zone of going against all odds for love has potential to get a franchise value. After contemplating on several subjects, the filmmaker has greenlit a subject that qualifies to be a sequel to Dhadak."

The IPL Finale match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, also known as Chepauk Stadium, is giving fans a major throwback. It was on the same stadium where KKR had defeated Chennai Super Kings and clinched victory. Check out the pictures from then and now, shared by fans on X. 

Throwback picture of Suhana, Ananya and Shanaya

In the first picture that was shared by a fan on X, Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan and Chunkey Panday were seen in a happy mood, smiling with Suhana Khan, Ananya Panday, and Shanaya Kapoor. Suhana looked shy and stood beside Hruthik, while Ananya was seen with spectacles.

The second picture was taken during the finale match on Sunday, at Chepauk Stadium, where again the three girls were together, cheering on for their favourite team. While Suhana wore the purple jersey of KKR, Shanaya and Ananya opted matching white shirts.

The fan posted both the pictures side by side and wrote in the caption, “2012 IPL Final at Chepauk. 2024 IPL Final at Chepauk. Ananya (handshake emoji) Suhana (handshake emoji) Shanaya.”

Shah Rukh at the stadium

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan are also present at the Chepauk Stadium to cheer for KKR. This marked Shah Rukh's first public appearance at the IPL finals match in Chennai after getting discharged from a hospital. He was seen wearing a mask.

It was last week on Wednesday when Shah Rukh was hospitalised in Ahmedabad due to dehydration and heat stroke. The actor was there to watch the IPL match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad. He returned to Mumbai on Thursday. His manager Pooja Dadlani shared his and wrote, “To all of Mr Khan's fans and well wishers - he is doing well. Thank you for your love, prayers and concern. (folded hands emojis).”

Janhvi kapoor reveals she has become more religious after sridevi's death: 'i started taking refuge in our religion'

Janhvi Kapoor is busy promoting her upcoming release Mr and Mrs Mahi. The actor was in conversation with The Lallantop, where she opened up about how the sudden loss of her mother, actor Sridevi, changed her outlook towards life and made her more religious. 

What Janhvi said

In the interview, Janhvi talked about Sridevi and said, “She believed in things like, ‘certain activities should be done on specific dates,’ ‘don’t cut hair on Fridays as it will prevent Goddess Lakshmi from entering the house,’ and ‘avoid wearing black on Fridays.’ I never believed in such superstitions. However, after she passed away, I started believing in them, maybe even too much. I don’t know if I was this religious and spiritually inclined when she was around. [When she was alive] we all followed these practices because Mamma did. But following her demise, the relationship our culture and history have with Hinduism… I think I started taking refuge in our religion a lot more.”

She continued, "She used to invoke his name all the time, ‘Narayan Narayan Narayan.’ She used to visit the temple every year on her birthday when she was working. After her marriage, she stopped going. Following her death, I decided to visit the temple every year on her birthday. The first time I did, I became very emotional, but I also found great mental peace.”

Janhvi is Sridevi’s first child with filmmaker Boney Kapoor. She also has a sister, Khushi Kapoor. Sridevi died in 2018 due to an accidental drowning in a Dubai hotel. Janhvi’s debut film, Dhadak, was released in theatres in July 2019. She will be seen playing a cricketer in Mr and Mrs Mahi which hits theatres on May 31.

She was also seen getting teary-eyed. As the father-daughter duo hugged each other, Shah Rukh's sons, Aryan Khan and AbRam Khan, also came forward to hug their father. All of them shared a group hug.

He met the players of his team and congratulated them for winning the IPL final. In the video, uncapped pacer Harshit Rana hugged the actor and lifted him up with excitement. In the pictures shared by the official page of IPL, Shah Rukh kissed Gautam Gambhir on the forehead in a heartwarming moment.

KKR clinched the IPL 2024 title with a dominating all-round performance against SRH in the final at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. At the same ground in 2012, KKR had clinched their maiden title, and on May 26, 2024, they scripted an encore to lift their third trophy. The KKR bowlers did extremely well to restrict the dangerous SRH batting line-up to 113 - which was chased down in only 10.3 overs with eight wickets in hand.
