Days after reports of Munawar Faruqui’s rumoured wedding with Mehzabeen Coatwala surfaced, pictures of the couple cutting cake have now surfaced on social media. In the photos, the couple can be seen all smiles and clearly in a celebratory mood.

Paparazzi photographer Varinder Chawla shared pictures of Munawar and Mehzabeen cutting cake on his Instagram, claiming, “First picture of #MunawarFaruqui & second wife #MehzabeenCoatwala cutting cake after their wedding goes viral!”

In the picture, Munawar can be seen dressed in a white shirt, while Mehzabeen looks beautiful in lavender. They cut into a white cake with flower petals on them. However, whether the couple is married and when the picture was taken is unclear.

Fans react

Fans however took it as a sign that they are married, with one fan writing, “Congratulations #MunawarFaruqui bhai on your 2nd wedding. Best wishes! The first photo of the couple is here.” Another wrote, “Mashallah apki jodi bhut bhut bhut bhut zyada hi khubsurat lag rhi. (You’re both looking very beautiful together.)”

One fan wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “May your love continue to grow stronger with each passing day, Wishing you a beautiful journey ahead, and precious moments with your little ones - your daughter and son!”

Munawar’s rumoured wedding

On Monday, rumours surfaced that Munawar had gotten married for the second time. Times Now quoted a source as saying, “Yes, Munawar is now married. Usne shaadi kar li hai. Woh yeh sab under wraps rakhna chahta hai tabhi koi khass pictures bhi nahi milega apko (He got married. He wants to keep it under wraps; hence, you would not find any pictures of the two).”

The report also claimed that only the couple's near and dear ones were present for the ceremony as it was a close-knit function. Reportedly, Munawar got married nearly two weeks ago. He and his new bride supposedly held their wedding reception at Mumbai's ITC Grand Maratha on Sunday.

Munawar’s previous marriage

Munawar was previously married to Jasmine with whom he has a six-year-old son Mikael, who celebrates his birthday today (May 29). He first spoke about his family in Kangana Ranaut’s show Lock Upp. He also spoke about his son with Mannara Chopra while taking part in Bigg Boss 17.

He said, “I have been with someone for the past two years. I was in a marriage in 2017 and in 2020 we got separated. Last year our divorce was finalised. Amid all this, the best thing about my life is my son. He is 5 years old and stays with me.” Mehzabeen has a daughter from a previous marriage.

Katrina Kaif pregnancy rumours

Recently, a report by Zoom claimed that the actor is pregnant. However, her representative agency called the report ‘unconfirmed’. “Request all  social media houses to immediately stop this unconfirmed reporting and speculation,” read a statement shared by Raindrop media.

Per a source quoted by Zoom, Katrina's pregnancy rumours are not off the mark. The source said that 'if all goes well, Katrina and Vicky will welcome their first child in the UK'. The source quoted by Zoom added that Katrina, who has grown up in the UK and owns a house in London's Hampstead, will deliver her baby in London.

The source said, “Katrina bacha London mein hi deliver karegi. Vicky bhi wahin hai (Yes, she is pregnant. They will welcome their first child in London itself. Vicky is already there with her).”

Telugu superstar Nandamuri Balakrishna recently pushed his co-star Anjali on the stage at a promotional event of her film, Gangs of Godavari. While she took it sportingly, the internet was shocked by his behaviour. 

What happened

In a video now doing the rounds on X, Nandamuri can be seen on the stage as a special guest at a promotional event of Krishna Chaitanya's upcoming Telugu action film Gangs of Godavari. He's wearing a white sherwani. As he comes at the centre of the stage, he first politely asks the film's actors, Neha Shetty (in a grey crop top and skirt) and Anjali (in a white sari) to step aside. Moments later, he pushes Anjali away, almost making her tumble and fall. Initially taken aback, Anjali soon laughs it out, along with Neha and others on stage, while Nandamuri holds a stern expression and continues to scold her. Later, he does a high five with Anjali on stage, in an attempt to make peace with her.

Internet reacts

The internet was apalled by Nandamuri's behaviour on stage. Filmmaker Hansal Mehta reposted the video on X and wrote, “Who is this scumbag?” When a fan explained to him that the man is Nandamuri Balakrishna, a veteran Telugu superstar, an Andhra Pradesh MLA, and the son of legendary Telugu actor and former Andhra Pradesh CM NT Rama Rao, Hansal responded, “Scumbag x 100.”

Another internet user bashed Nandamuri by posting, “This man is a superstar, a successful politician and he’s on stage being cheered as he pushes a woman co-star… Balayya is a serial offender and never changes.” “For additional context: That actress has done more than 50+ movies. More than half of them as a lead. Sad that this is the state of the industry and it hurts that there is no transforming this. Won't be surprised if there comes a pr spin on this,” wrote a person. “Typical Indian male trying to show masculinity by battering a woman,” read a third post.

Nandamuri Balakrishna is currently filming his 109th film, which will be released in both Telugu and Hindi.

 Vaani Kapoor and Raashii Khanna paid a visit to Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, on Tuesday. Vaani also took to her Instagram to share a bunch of pictures on her X handle. Speaking to news agency ANI, Vaani shared that it was a ‘great’ experience to be there.

Vaani and Raashi offer prayers at Mahakaleshwar

Both Vaani and Raashii were seen in sarees as they offered prayers at the Mahakaleshwar Temple. In a new video post shared by news agency ANI, Vaani and Raashii were seen inside the temple premises with hundreds of other devotees, sitting on the ground.

Vaani and Raashii kept their eyes closed and chanted the prayers inside the temple, with folded hands. Later, she said to ANI, “Jai Shree Mahakal. Felt delightful. Actually, we both felt the same. And I hope Mahakal calls us again.” Meanwhile, Vaani also said, “It was a great feeling.”

Vaani shared a couple of pictures from the visit and added in the caption, “Jai Mahakal.”

Vaani Kapoor and Rashii Khanna continue to be good friends in the industry. Earlier last year, the two actors had accompanied each other on a European holiday. They also went to Paris. Raashii wrote: "Some of my favourite things - great company, great food (some very delicious croissants ) discovering new cultures and some amazing songs, hail storms, and Amsterdam."

Vaani was last seen in Shamshera alongside Ranbir Kapoor. The film did not perform well at the box office. Meanwhile, Raashii was last seen in Siddharth Malhotra-starrer Yodha, which failed at the box office. Anushka hugged and said goodbye to her friends as she and Virat waited for their car outside the restaurant. This was a rare outing for the two after they become parents for the second time. Anushka delivered their son Akaay in London earlier this year. Their daughter Vamika is 3 years old. Anushka was seen cheering for and shedding a tear for Virat as he led his IPL team RCB to multiple victories, securing a place in the play-offs last week. However, Anushka's longtime co-star Shah Rukh Khan's team Kolkata Knight Riders won the IPL finals against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Chennai last Sunday.

While talking to IPL streamer JioCinema, former Indian pacer Zaheer lauded RCB's revival in this season of IPL. After losing six matches in a row, RCB bounced back and became the first team to record 5 consecutive wins in IPL history. “They lost six in a row and have now picked up five consecutive wins. This does not happen without passion, so you have to appreciate that. We do not usually see a team revive its season like this after so many losses, so RCB gets full marks. Whatever you can control is what you base your expectations on, and RCB is showing that,” said Zaheer.

Days after Israel's attack on Rafah, several A-list Bollywood celebrities have come out to show their solidarity with Palestine. These include Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor, and Varun Dhawan among others. 

What Alia posted

Alia took to her Instagram Stories on Tuesday and re-shared a post by @themotherhoodhome which read, “All children deserve love. All children deserve safety. All children deserve peace. All children deserve life. And all mothers deserve to be able to give their children those things (red heart doodle).” Alia wrote in the caption, “#AllEyesOnRafah.” Alia and her actor-husband Ranbir Kapoor gave birth to daughter Raha Kapoor in November 2022.

Alia's sister-in-law Kareena Kapoor also took to her Instagram Stories on Tuesday to re-share a post by the official Instagram handle of UNICEF, which Executive Director Catherine Russell condemning the killing of children and families in Rafah, calling the act “unconscionable.” Actor Varun Dhawan also took to his Instagram stories to share the “All Eyes on Rafah” image doing the rounds on social media in protest of Israel's latest attack.

Other actors who joined them in solidarity included Madhuri Dixit, Triptii Dimri, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Samantha Prabhu, Dia Mirza, and Swara Bhasker.

Israel-Palestine conflict

Israeli shelling and airstrikes killed at least 37 people, most of them sheltering in tents, outside the southern Gaza city of Rafah overnight and on Tuesday — pummeling the same area where strikes triggered a deadly fire days earlier in a camp for displaced Palestinians.

Israel's assault on Rafah, launched May 6, spurred more than 1 million people to flee the city, the U.N. agency helping Palestinian refugees said Tuesday. Most were already displaced multiple times in the nearly eight-month war between Israel and Hamas. Families are now scattered across makeshift tent camps and other war-ravaged areas.

A spokesperson for the World Health Organisation said the casualties from Sunday’s strike and fire “absolutely overwhelmed” field hospitals in the area, which were already running short on supplies to treat severe burns.

The United States and other allies of Israel have warned against a full-fledged offensive in the city, with the Joe Biden administration saying this would cross a “red line” and refusing to provide offensive arms for such an undertaking.
