Sonakshi Sinha shared a bunch of new pictures from her romantic honeymoon with husband Zaheer Iqbal. On Tuesday evening, Sonakshi took to her Instagram Stories to share pictures of both of them enjoying a picturesque sunset from the swimming pool of a high-rise building.

A picture saw Sonakshi and Zaheer leaning against the pool’s edge, with a drink in hand. “Beautiful sunsets (red heart emoticon),” she captioned the picture. A second picture saw both Sonakshi and Zaheer gazing ahead and admiring the beautiful sunset together. There was also a small video of the pool, which reflected the golden hues of the sky during the sunset.

Meanwhile, Zaheer re-shared the picture of both of them together, and added the caption, “I see something more beautiful.” Zaheer also shared a cute video of Sonakshi giggling while finishing her dessert. “She wanted to shout at me but I made her laugh instead,” he wrote in the caption, and also added the hashtag, husband hacks. However, neither Sonakshi nor Zaheer have disclosed the location of their honeymoon.

Sonakshi got married to Zaheer on June 23, 2024 in a close-knit ceremony attended by close family, friends, relatives and colleagues from film industry, media and politics. The civil ceremony was followed by a wedding bash at Bastian which saw numerous Bollywood celebrities in attendance, including Rekha, Salman Khan, Aditi Rao Hydari, Kajol, and Richa Chadha.

She shared a bunch of pictures in her wedding look, and wrote: “Whattttt a day!!!! Before she married cricketer Virat Kohli in 2017, Anushka Sharma maintained a stoic silence about their relationship. This was corroborated by social media influencer Freddy Birdy, who recalled the time when he interviewed the actor during her early days of dating Virat.

Freddy took to his Instagram handle on Monday and shared a carousel post narrating the anecdote of when he did a magazine interview with Anushka years ago. He recalled flying to Mumbai from Delhi and visiting Anushka at her then-penthouse. He said she came across as ‘utterly gorgeous’, ‘completely unpretentious’, ‘funny, normal, and utterly relaxed’ and ‘talkative in the nicest way’.

He added that his driver had requested him to ask Anushka Sharma whether she's dating Virat. Freddy said that deep into the conversation, his ‘Barkha Dutt instincts’ kicked in and he finally asked the question. “Of course her best acting skills came to the fore, and she pretended to know nothing about the question asked.” 

But he figured out the truth when he could hear Virat flirting and making dinner plans with her when she was on the phone. However, he decided to keep her secret and when his driver asked him if she's indeed dating Virat, he refused.

Anushka took to the comments section of the post and wrote, “Freddy… (hearts and hug emojis).” He responded with several sparkling heart emojis. Journalist Barkha Dutt also commented, “(Red heart emojis) 'Barkha Dutt instincts (laughing with tears emojis).” Freddy responded to her with more red heart emojis. Actor Aparshakti Khurana commented, “Only love and blessings for them and you story telling (red heart emoji).”

The highly anticipated project, which marks the first collaboration of Thalapathy Vijay and H Vinoth, is touted to be an out-and-out political thriller. The leading man is expected to play an intense character in the film, which is scripted by director Vinoth, himself. Anirudh Ravichander has reportedly joined the team to compose the songs and original score for the film. Thalapathy 69 will mark the Tamil debut of the popular Kannada production banner, KVN Studios. The untitled project is expected to start rolling by the last week of October or the first week of November, 2024.

Sobhita Dhulipala and Kalki 2898 AD have a connection that goes way deeper than just those quick cameos. In the Telugu version of the film, directed by Nag Ashwin, Sobhita lent her voice to Deepika Padukone's character, Sumathi. Word on the street is that Sobhita dubbed Deepika's lines, which was confirmed when the director gave Sobhita a big shout-out in the opening credits.

About the role

The film marks Deepika foray into Telugu film industry. She is seen in the role of Sum-80, aka Sumathi, who bears a miracle child. Taking a note from the pages of Mahabharat, Sumathi is said to carry the 10th avatar of Vishnu — Kalki — who will bring an end to the Kali Yug and start a new era. In the film, Kamal Haasan’s Supreme Yaskin is out to kill the child, while Amitabh Bachchan’s Ashwatthama is tasked to protect the unborn child.

Directed by Nag Ashwin, the post-apocalyptic film is inspired by Hindu scriptures and set in the year 2898 AD. The film is a blend of Hindu epic Mahabharata and science fiction. The big-budget film is produced by Vyjayanthi Movies and was released on Thursday in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi and English.

Kalki 2898 AD, mounted on a whopping budget of ₹600 crore, also features Prabhas, Disha Patani, Saswata Chatterjee and Shobhana. Vijay Deverakonda, Dulquer Salmaan and Mrunal Thakur have cameos in the film. As per the film's team, the multilingual 3D spectacle has entered the ₹500 crore club within four days of its global release.
