Earlier, while making her relationship official on social media, Shraddha shared a picture with Rahul Mody while they were posing for the camera. Sharing the picture on her Instagram story, she wrote: "Dil rakh le, neend to vaapis de de yaar."

On the professional front, Shraddha is all set to reprise her role in the Stree sequel, 'Stree 2'. The trailer of the film was released a few days ago and it has already created enough buzz amongst the audiences. The horror-comedy also stars Rajkummar Rao, Abhishek Banerji, Pankaj Tripathi, and Aparshakti Khurrana. Stree 2 is slated to release on August 15, 2024.

After accepting the gift, Hugh said, "Thank you, Aish. I was told I was going to be introduced by the most beautiful actress in the world and I thought it was going to be my wife. And I say that because I am a very smart man and also because my wife is sitting in the front row.

Hugh had a great time at the awards show where he danced with Shah Rukh Khan and Vidya Balan on stage. He even said, “I am a huge fan of Shah Rukh Khan and I loved his film My Name is Khan. I want to do a sequel to this film and that will be called My Name is Jackman and I am not a tourist,” he joked in a reference to the My Name Is Khan tag line, “And I am not a terrorist.”

Hugh and Deborra divorced in September last year after 28 years together. He was last seen in last week's release, Deadpool and Wolverine with Ryan Reynolds.

Mahesh Babu, the Telugu superstar is celebrating his 49th birthday on August 9, 2024. The makers of the popular actor’s 2001-released blockbuster Murari, are all set to celebrate the special occasion by re-releasing the much-loved film in remastered 4K format. The Krishna Vamsi directorial is slated to hit the theatres across the globe yet again on Mahesh Babu’s birthday, following the recent re-release trend. As per the reports, Murari 4K has now set a new record with its pre-sales.

The 2001-released Mahesh Babu starrer has set a record with its pre-sales, by emerging as the highest-grossing re-release film already. If the reports are to be believed, Murari 4K crossed the Rs. 1 crore mark just with its pre-sales in Hyderabad city, in less than 20 hours. In that case, it is now safe to assume that the worldwide advance booking sales of the film have crossed the Rs. 2 crore mark, already. More updates on the same are expected to be out very soon.

If you wish to revisit Mahesh Babu’s blockbuster film on OTT, the Krishna Vamsi directorial is currently available for streaming on Sun NXT and OTTplay Premium. The supernatural family drama revolves around the titular character Murari, a happy-go-lucky guy who is pampered by his entire family, especially his elder sister-in-law Gopi, whom he considers a motherly figure. As he falls in love with Gopi’s cousin Vasundhara, his life is threatened by a centuries-old curse on the family. Eventually, he is saved by the sacrifice of his aged grandmother, Sabari.

Mahesh Babu plays Murai in the film, which stars Sonali Bendre, Sukumari, and Lakshmi, in the roles of his lady love Vasundhara, grandmother Sabari, and elder sister-in-law Gopi, respectively. Kaikala Satyanarayana, Prakash Raj, Naga Babu, Gollapudi Maruthi Rao, Annapurna, Sudha, and others  appear in the supporting roles. Mani Sharma composed the songs and original score for Murari, which is produced by Ram Prasad Arts.

Wayanad landslides: Mohanlal visits affected regions; Major Ravi faces criticism for taking selfie

Actor Mohanlal, who is also a Lieutenant Colonel in the Indian Army, paid a visit to the areas of Wayanad that have been affected by landslides on August 3. He arrived in Calicut early in the morning and, accompanied by army men, went to the affected areas while wearing his uniform. The Malayalam superstar promised to rebuild the government school that was totally destroyed in the landslides and also offered extra assistance for the rehabilitation of victims in addition to giving Rs 25 to the Kerala Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund.

Major Ravi slammed for taking selfie

Major Ravi, a director and former army officer, came under fire for snapping a selfie with Mohanlal while visiting the impacted areas of Wayanad. The actor is not posing for the picture, but Ravi is seen grinning and holding a camera from the location of the landslides. Netizens appear upset, criticising the director's lack of tact.

Actors make significant contributions to CM’s fund

Actors are pitching in to provide financial support to the Wayanad landslip victims. Mammootty and Dulquer Salmaan donated Rs 20 and Rs 15 lakh, respectively, to the Kerala Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund. Along with actor Ramesh Pisharody and Minister for Industries P Rajeev, Mammootty visited the Ernakulam camp that was started to collect supplies for the victims. He asked everyone to lend a hand however they could to the victims. Meanwhile, Fahadh Faasil and his friends contributed Rs 25 lakh for the same purpose.

A number of actors have also contributed recently, including Tovino Thomas, Asif Ali, Manju Warrier, and Navya Nair. They have been urging people to donate whatever they can to the relief effort. Videos of actress Nikhila Vimal volunteering to gather supplies for the victims were shared on social media. On July 30, there were multiple landslides in the Mundakkai and Chooralmala areas of the Wayanad district, which caused significant damage, over 300 injuries, and numerous casualties. Malayalam films that were scheduled to open in theatres on August 2 was postponed in the interim.

Ulajh box office collection day 1: Janhvi Kapoor’s thriller gets a slow start with 1.10 cr

Ulajh box office collection day 1: Janhvi Kapoor and Gulshan Devaiah-starrer thriller failed to create an impact at the box office on the opening day, and saw a slow response at the theatres. According to a report by Sacnilk.com, the film earned just ₹1.10 crore in India.

As per the report, the film, directed by Sudhanshu Saria, the business in India on the first day was around ₹1.10 crore. When it comes to occupancy, Ulajh had an overall 13.02% Hindi occupancy on Friday. Overall, the occupancy in theatres in terms of morning shows was 7.38%. When it comes to afternoon shows, it was 10.85%, evening shows was 13.06%, and night shows was 20.78%.

Gulshan on film’s poor performance

The film opened to mixed reviews. Earlier, a report claimed that the spy thriller was not able to sell more than ₹1000 tickets in pre-sales.

After the release, Gulshan took to his X handle to open up about the performance, writing, “'Word Of Mouth' is the Mt Everest of publicity. It can’t be created without the organic support of the audience. This is what every movie in the cinemas hopes & prays. #Ulajh is in cinemas today.”

About the film

The film stars Janhvi in the role of an Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer, Suhana. She is the youngest Deputy High Commissioner, a character tasked with skillfully navigating a challenging mission at the London embassy under significant scrutiny. Gulshan Devaiah is plays undercover agent.

The trailer offers a glimpse into a labyrinth of concealed truths and acts of betrayal, hinting at the existence of an internal leak that jeopardises the lives of covert agents and propels Suhana into a desperate struggle for survival.

The review of Ulajh states, “Ulajh tries to be a lot of things- a comment on nepotism, on unfair treatment towards women in power at a workplace, sexist speculations about how they reach there-- and ultimately, on why diplomacy is the answer to inter-country conflicts. It all leads to the film taking itself too seriously.”
