Bollywood Bridal Inspirations: Stunning Red Looks from Aditi Rao Hydari to Deepika Padukone

Modern brides today often embrace unique trends, opting for shades like lavender, white, pink, gold, orange, and lilac instead of the traditional red for their weddings. Even beloved Bollywood celebrities have chosen to step away from red on their special days, including stars like Alia Bhatt, Anushka Sharma, Parineeti Chopra, and Rakul Preet Singh. However, red remains a timeless symbol of tradition in Indian weddings, representing a quintessential bridal moment.

Aditi Rao Hydari recently showcased the enduring appeal of red by donning a breathtaking Sabyasachi lehenga during her wedding at the Alila Fort Bishangarh. The stunning images from her September nuptials with Siddharth reaffirm that red will never fade from fashion.

Here are six Bollywood brides who opted for traditional red on their wedding day—perfect inspiration for your own celebration.

Aditi Rao Hydari

Aditi Rao Hydari dazzled in a handcrafted red silk lehenga featuring a backless full-sleeve choli and an organza dupatta from Sabyasachi's heritage collection. She completed her look with exquisite Sabyasachi jewellery, including jhumkis, a matha patti, a nath, a choker necklace, and rings.

Nayanthara

For her wedding to Vignesh Shivan, Nayanthara wore a striking vermilion saree custom-designed by Monica and Karishma's Jade brand. The saree was adorned with intricate tone-on-tone embroidery and carvings. She paired it with a full-sleeve blouse featuring Goddess Lakshmi motifs and accessorized with emerald, gold, and diamond jewellery.

Deepika Padukone

During her Sindhi pheras with Ranveer Singh, Deepika padukone opted for a deep-red Sabyasachi lehenga with minimal gold embroidery. Her ensemble was complemented by a hand-embroidered dupatta inscribed with the blessing ‘Sada Saubhagyavati Bhava’, along with Sabyasachi heritage jewels.

Katrina Kaif

Katrina Kaif married Vicky Kaushal in a stunning vermilion red Sabyasachi lehenga featuring an ornate blouse embellished with gold embroidery. Her look was finished with a sheer dupatta elegantly draped over her bun and complemented by traditional temple jewellery.

Pushpa 2's Extended Runtime Could Compete with Animal and Kalki 2898 AD; Jathara Sequence Lauded as Exceptional: Report

As the highly anticipated release of Sukumar's Pushpa 2: The Rule approaches, excitement is building around the Allu Arjun-led film. Recent reports have revealed significant details regarding its runtime and a standout sequence, indicating that it may be one of the longest Indian films set to debut in 2024.

Pushpa 2 Receives CBFC Approval

The film recently underwent a screening for the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), where it was approved for release with only minor cuts and visual adjustments. It has been awarded a U/A certificate, and initial feedback has been notably positive.

Runtime Details

The final runtime for Pushpa 2 is reported to be 200 minutes, or 3 hours and 20 minutes. This makes it longer than Kalki 2898 AD (3 hours and 1 minute) and nearly equal to Animal (3 hours and 21 minutes). Given that both of these films have grossed over ₹900 crore globally despite their lengthy durations, this bodes well for the makers of Pushpa 2.

Highlighted Sequence

Among the film's features, the Gangamma Thalli Jathara sequence has been highlighted by CBFC members as one of the film's best moments. This folk festival is celebrated in various regions of South India, including Chittoor and Tirupati, and Allu Arjun's distinctive look from this sequence has already been showcased in promotional materials.

Film Overview

Allu Arjun reprises his role as the title smuggler in Pushpa 2: The Rule. He rekindles his rivalry with SP Bhairon Singh Shekhawat (Fahadh Faasil) in the sequel of Pushpa: The Rise. Rashmika Mandanna is also returning to her role from the first portion. The movie is scheduled for release on December 5 and is hailed as one of the biggest Indian blockbusters ever.
