Bhool Chuk Maaf review: Rajkummar Rao-Wamiqa Gabbi lead a film that’s more patience test than comedy quest

Bhool Chuk Maaf The movie is a romantic comedy set in Varanasi. Ranjan (Rajkummar Rao), a romantic from a small town in Banaras, gets a government job in order to wed Titli (Wamiqa Gabbi), but he breaks a promise he made to Lord Shiva. He is trapped in a time warp on his wedding day, and in order to break free, he must keep his forgotten vow. The movie emphasizes compassion over ambition by showcasing how he gives up his ideal job for the benefit of others, reminding us of the potency of kindness in a selfish society. The plot is an amusing story of love, destiny, and salvation.

Forgive me for forgetting

I stated in my review of Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, which was released a few years ago by Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films (the company behind Chutzpah and Badlapur), that the film's conclusion is in its title. Now that the moment has returned, I believe I must say the same thing about Bhool Chuk Maaf, which not only contains a time loop plot but is also poorly executed. The movie, which stars Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi, opens with animated credits that show how their characters fall in love, encounter opposition from her family, and ultimately choose to flee. To be honest, I would have loved it if the animated opening credits had kept going until the movie's real plot, where the time loop starts.
