 Today, the OTT major Prime Video had its grand event titled Prime Video Presents India showcase. This event saw an extremely varied content being showcased from across many languages including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and other languages, showcasing an extremely varied genre of programming including romance, comedy, action drama and even musicals! The said slate also mirrored as many as 65 plus titles in the form of web series and films, which has been spread over a period of two years.

Amongst the many other interesting announcements, Prime Video also announced four of its projects whose star cast and genres really makes it the stand out ones! As for the starcast, these projects star the likes of Shalini Pandey, Tamannaah Bhatia, Diana Penty, Uorfi Javed and others.

Bandwaale

Just one read at the film’s synopsis and it makes you wait for it with bated breath! For the unversed, the film ‘Bandwaale’ mirrors the life and lifestyle of a young God gifted poetess named Mariam. Just as when she is living her life, one day, she reaches a ‘dizzy town’ where marriage is the ultimate destination for every girl! 

Unable to see herself bound by the traditional manners of marriage, Mariam tries to break the ‘stereotype’ and tries to find a solution all by herself to get herself out of the situation! As a step in that direction, she uploads her penned poetry on the internet and sets out in the quest of her freedom! And the persons who become her partners in crime include a new age DJ as well as a brass band singer!

No wonder then, the trio of Mariam and the two friends together form the title of the film ‘Bandwaale’. The series stars a stellar cast of the extremely talented Shalini Pandey, Zahaan Kapoor, Sanjana Dipu, Ashish Vidhyarthi, and Anupama Kumar. The icing in the cake, however, is the presence of the multi-talented Swanand Kirkire, who also happens to be the creator of the film alongwith Ankur Tewari. The film has been directed by Akshat Verma and Ankur Tewari, under the production of ‘OML Entertainment’ 

Daring Partners

This is one film which boasts of a stellar cast consisting of the extremely talented trio of Tamannaah Bhatia, Diana Penty, and Jaaved Jaaferi. As the title itself suggests, the show is about two partners who are ‘daring partners’. The show’s premise is totally in tune with its title, as it mirrors the lives of two best friends who decide to convert their friendship into business.

And as a step in that direction, the two best friends start off with an unexplored premise of venturing into an alcohol start-up. And the unthought and unprepared challenges that lay in front of them and how the duo overcome all of that in the male dominated industry is what forms the film’s premise.

As for the starcast, the film will see the coming together of the three extremely talented actors in the form of Tamannaah Bhatia, Diana Penty, and Jaaved Jaaferi. While the film has been ideated by Nishant Nayak and Mithun Gangopadhyaym, it has been directed by Archit Kumar under the banner of Dharmatic Entertainment Pvt Ltd

Even though everything looks perfect at first, what she is unaware of are the extremely well kept dark hidden secrets of violence and mysteries. Just as when she thinks she is free from one problem, there arises another, which is readily followed by a battalion of unsolved and mysterious issues that follows one another!

While the show stars the likes of Monika Panwar, Rajat Kapoor, Abhishek Chauhan, Geetanjali Kulkarni, and Shilpa Shukla, it has been produced by Sanjay Routray and Sarita Patil. While the show has been written and created by Smita Singh, the show’s directors happen to be the duo of Pankaj Kumar and Surya Balakrishnan.

About Deepika, Ranveer

Deepika and Ranveer, who will soon become parents, were recently seen at the grand pre-wedding festivities of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant in Jamnagar, Gujarat. The duo danced at the event and also shared fun moments.

In February this year, the couple announced on Instagram that they are expecting their first child. "September 2024," read the picture embossed with baby shoes and clothing. Deepika and Ranveer tied the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony in 2018 at Lake Como, Italy.

And as far as Vijay Deverakonda's Family Star is concerned, it is being made under the production of Sri Venkateshwara Creations with Dil Raju and Shirish as its producers. While the film has been written by Parashuram, it is being directed by Parashuram. The leading lady in the film who will be seen opposite Vijay Deverakonda is Mrunal Thakur. Dhootha 2 - amazon prime to announce the second season of the naga chaitanya starrer on this date | details inside

Dhootha marked the OTT debut of Naga Chaitanya as the young actor played a media baron in the fantasy thriller which was a solid hit on Amazon Prime. High on the success of the show, the makers are all set for season 2 and plans are being made for the same.

The news now is that Dhootha 2 will be announced tomorrow at a grand event. Amazon Prime is announcing its slate of OTT projects for the year 2024 and Dhootha 2 will feature in the list of projects for this year. Dhootha was appreciated by one and all as the show was trending on Amazon Prime for multiple weeks.  

Dhootha ended on a very interesting note and the audience will be curious to know what the makers have in store for them with the second part. Vikram Kumar directed Dhootha on a huge budget and the show was produced by Sharath Marrar on his banner.

Naga Chaitanya was praised for his mature performance in the show which also had Prachi Desai, Priya Bhavani Shankar, and Pravathy Thiruvothu in key roles. Dhootha is about a media baron who gets embroiled in a series of murders which are revealed through newspaper cuttings. All this has a proper backstory and is showcased in a gripping manner by Vikram Kumar.

Dhootha 2 will also feature the core cast but new actors will join the team as per the news. The word is that Dhootha 2 will have some popular Hindi actors who will be seen in important roles in this series. The success of the first season has given new ideas to director Vikram Kumar who is now ready for the script of the sequel as per the news. 

Amazon Prime is also quite happy with the way Dhootha fared on OTT and they are going all out for the second season. Sharath Marrar is going to spend big bucks on the second season as per the news. Reacting to the 'price list', an Instagram user wrote, "Very expensive! I cannot afford it..." Another wrote, "Just the brand name if it didn't have Shah Rukh attached, all of these clothes would sell for under ₹1000." Another also said, "Why are these clothes so expensive? (Crying emoji)." One also wrote, "Sir, I have to take a bank loan to buy your clothes... Can you please give some discount?"

However, some fans defended the pricing. One wrote, "Shah Rukh Khan has entertained us for years. We will pay extra money to buy these clothes." A fan also praised Suhana and Shah Rukh's photo, writing, "The daughter has taken after her father and how." Another said, "Elegance personified."

Last year in May, Shah Rukh Khan, for the first time, reacted to the pricing of his son Aryan Khan's clothing brand, D'YAVOL X. After the launch of the brand, people exclaimed the prices for the brand were 'ridiculously expensive'. A fan wrote to Shah Rukh, “Ye dyavol x ke jacket thoda sa 1000- 2000 wale bhi bana do… Wo wale khareedne me to ghar chala jayega (Can you reduce the price to ₹1000 to 2000. I have to sell off my house in order to afford it).”
