Nani scored a massive hit with Dasara as it was the first Rs 100 crore film in Nani's career. High on the success of Dasara, Nani is now doing a film named Hi Nanaa which is being directed by Shouryav. The family drama has Mrunal Thakur as the female lead and the shooting of the film is almost complete. The post-production work is on as of now in Hyderabad as the BGM is being composed.
Well, on the other hand, we had already reported that Nani has also locked Vivek Athreya as the director of his next film. The duo worked on a film named Ante Sundaraniki earlier but the film did not meet the expectations. So, this time, the duo is back with a biggie and is making sure that the film has some big names playing crucial roles in the film.
A few days back, news came out that the makers of this film have approached A R Rahman to compose music for this film. Well, the gossip from the film circles is that Rahman has stunned the makers by asking a whopping Rs 11 crores to compose music for the same.
The makers were shocked to hear the quote and are in two minds to rope in the Oscar winner for the film which is touted to be a romantic drama. The news is also that Nani and Vivek Athreya are very keen to have Rahman as the film's subject has the span and scope for a good music score. We need to see what the makers will do in this regard.
With each film of his, Nani's market is only increasing. The same is seen with the pre-release rights of his new film Hi Nanna are being sold like hotcakes. The film will be released this December 2023. Watch this space for more.
