Shankar Admits Partial Discontent with Game Changer's Final Product, Reveals Original Length of Over 5 Hours
S. Shankar's inaugural venture in Telugu cinema, Game Changer, has been achieving notable success at the box office; however, the predominantly unfavourable reviews may have influenced its potential for further growth. In an interview with Behindwoods TV, Shankar expressed his feelings regarding his partial dissatisfaction with the outcome of Game Changer, which features Ram Charan and Kiara Advani.
What Shankar said
I am not entirely pleased with the results of Game Changer. I believe I could have achieved a better outcome. Several noteworthy scenes were omitted due to time limitations, resulting in a total runtime exceeding five hours. We made some cuts to create a more refined product, Shankar remarked.
Shankar is well-known for his lengthy films. He opted to divide his previous project, Indian 2, into two parts after realizing he could not fit the entire narrative into a three-hour format. Consequently, Indian 2 premiered in theatres last year, while Indian 3 is scheduled for release later this year. The original film, Indian, is a classic vigilante story featuring Kamal Haasan, which debuted in cinemas in 1996. The sequel includes performances by Kamal, Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, and Gulshan Grover, among others.
