Naanaa Hyraanaa: The High-Budget Song Not Featured in Game Changer. Here's the reason...
Shankar's film Game Changer, featuring Ram Charan, Kiara Advani, Anjali, and SJ Suryah, premiered in theaters on January 10. Audiences were taken aback by the absence of the highly promoted song, Naanaa Hyraanaa, from the film. The production team provided clarification regarding this omission.
Why is Naanaa Hyraanaa missing from Game Changer?
Shankar invested ₹75 crore in the production of songs for Game Changer, making the absence of one of the most costly songs particularly surprising for fans. The film's team communicated via X (formerly Twitter) that the song was removed due to "technical challenges."
They stated, “Everyone's favorite, #NaanaaHyraanaa | #Lyraanaa | #JaanaHairaanSa from #GameChanger has been edited out due to technical challenges encountered during the processing of infrared images in the initial prints. Rest assured, we are diligently working towards adding the song back in the missing content, which will be available starting January 14th.”
The song, composed by Thaman S and featuring the vocals of Karthik and Shreya Ghoshal, with lyrics by Ramajogayya Sastry, was filmed in New Zealand. The production team claimed it to be the first Indian song shot using an infrared camera. However, it appears that this unique feature caused complications in delivering the final print to theaters.
