Kangana Ranaut on working in Hollywood
In her conversation with the platform, Kangana Ranaut expressed that she had no desire to venture internationally, remarking, "It would be foolish for anyone to pursue opportunities in the West right now. Their theater industry is failing due to the rise of digital media. In contrast, Asia resembles what Hollywood was 15 years ago, presenting a golden opportunity for entertainment here. These are temptations I refuse to succumb to. "
She continued, “If an American movie like 'The Jungle Book' from 2016 makes ₹100 crore, while not all of our films can achieve that, we might struggle to find enough screens for our local productions in a decade. I support global cinema, but it should be a project that brings jobs and revenue to our nation. I do not want to sacrifice myself for another industry. ”
