Only a month before its release, there was a report that a hard drive carrying crucial material from the Vishnu Manchu-starring Kannappa had been stolen. The incident happened within the purview of the Film Nagar Police Station in Hyderabad, according to a story by Sakshi.com.
Was the hard drive of Kannappa taken?
According to sources, the hard drive was delivered via DTDC courier to the office of Twenty Four Frames Factory Private Limited in Filmnagar by a Mumbai VFX firm called Hive Studios. The DTDC delivery records indicate that the item arrived at the office on Sunday, May 25. The courier was given to a woman named Charitha by Raghu, a member of the staff.
Reddy Vijaykumar, of Twenty Four Frames Factory Private Limited, has reported to the Film Nagar Police that Charitha vanished with the intention of sabotaging the project, but Charitha has been on the run since she took the hard disk.
