Vijay Vikram Singh: The Iconic Voice Behind Bigg Boss Season 19

The reality TV phenomenon Bigg Boss has dominated Indian entertainment for nearly two decades. With Salman Khan’s dynamic hosting front and center, the show thrives on drama, emotion, and unpredictability. Yet, behind the glitz lies an unseen but unforgettable presence—the voice of Vijay Vikram Singh. Known for his commanding narration, Singh has become the soul of the show, guiding audiences through every twist and turn. As Bigg Boss Season 19 takes off, his voice continues to shape the identity of India’s biggest reality series.

From Kanpur to National Fame

Born on November 26, 1977, in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, Vijay Vikram Singh’s path to fame was anything but ordinary. With an MBA in International Business, he initially pursued a corporate career as a Business Development Manager in Mumbai. But at the age of 29, life took an unexpected turn. A friend recognized the potential of his rich, resonant voice and encouraged him to try voice-overs. What started as an experiment soon became his destiny.

By 2009, Singh made his entry into the voice-over industry with shows like Dance India Dance. Just a year later, he landed the opportunity that would define his career—becoming the narrator of Bigg Boss in 2010.

The Distinct Role in Bigg Boss

Many fans often mistake Vijay Vikram Singh for the voice that interacts directly with contestants. In reality, that iconic line—“Bigg Boss chahte hain”—belongs to Atul Kapoor. Singh’s unique role is different but equally vital. He narrates the daily highlights, stitching hours of raw footage into gripping stories for the audience.

From announcing “Raat ke 8 baje” to summarizing heated arguments or playful moments, Singh’s narration sets the emotional tone of each episode. Spending nearly eight hours a day in the studio, he turns everyday interactions into cinematic drama. His contribution has made him an irreplaceable part of Bigg Boss Season 19, which premiered on August 24, 2025.

Beyond the Bigg Boss Studio

Vijay Vikram Singh’s career stretches far beyond Bigg Boss. He has lent his voice to shows like Kaun Banega Crorepati, documentaries for National Geographic, and various ad campaigns.

His versatility doesn’t end there—Singh has also stepped into acting. He made his debut with The Family Man (2019), followed by appearances in Mirzapur 2, Special Ops 1.5, and even War 2 (2025), where he portrayed a military officer. His theater work includes Alexander vs. Chanakya and a Hindi adaptation of All My Sons, highlighting his multifaceted artistry.

Additionally, as a voice coach, he has trained young Bollywood actors like Sanjana Sanghi and Sharvari Wagh, passing on his expertise to the next generation.

Overcoming Struggles and Finding Strength

Behind the commanding voice lies a story of resilience. In his late teens, Singh faced depression and alcohol addiction for nearly seven years—a battle that tested his spirit. But through determination and support, he overcame his struggles, channeling his energy into his career.

Today, he is married to Geetanjali Singh (since 2009) and is a proud father, balancing the demands of work with the joys of family life. His personal journey adds depth to his professional success, making his story both inspiring and relatable.

The Voice of Season 19

This year, Bigg Boss 19 returned with the theme “Gharwalon Ki Sarkaar”, bringing new twists, challenges, and drama. While Salman Khan commands the stage, it is Vijay Vikram Singh’s narration that holds the narrative together. His ability to add suspense, emotion, and intensity ensures that fans remain glued to Colors TV and JioCinema.

In many ways, Singh is the heartbeat of Bigg Boss—an unseen force whose voice defines the show’s atmosphere. As Season 19 unfolds, his contribution remains as impactful as ever, reminding us that sometimes, the most powerful presence isn’t the one you see but the one you hear.
